The only downside to those Hondas is they're furiously thirsty. The Civics seem to be the same that 1.5 v-tec I took to Spain last year was bloody awful on petrol.

Yes, that's true.  My 2.0 CR-V was extremely thirsty, main reason I got rid of it really, that said, modern Peugeot ownership taught me that 20mpg is a lot cheaper than paying through the arse for constant repairs!  Unfortunately, the vtec might be a superb engine but allegedly it doesn't like LPG conversions at all.

I'm having impure thoughts about this XJS over on RR. It's solid and cheap, which is a rare combination for one of these. I just can't quite figure out where I'd put it. Once I sell the saab I'd still be too short of space. I need to get a yard or a field or something.

I may be getting confused, but didn't VolksAngyl say something fairly recently about wanting a Jag in that colour?

On that Lada, the 'stripes' look like sticky tape to me.

@Wilko: almost, I want a Golf in that Jag colour.  I can see how you'd be confused.  I also want a Jag in that colour, that car looks like a giant penis and it makes me lol.

Actually be interesting to see that up close because it looks like he's modified the panels rather well.

Yeah I can only repeat what others have said...

WHY?

Polo vans are rare and mostly pointless unless you want an allotment car or something for transporting single hay bales.  Curiously, it looks like the Van retained the Mk2 bumpers and body panels but gained the facelift interior and wheel trims.

My latest attempt at having a jobbie was done rather well, but I still ended up with a load of shit and an empty feeling.

I saw one of these Polo vans recently, but for the first time as far as I can recollect!

Right enough, now that I've looked at the eBay listing! I saw it in Bonnybridge back in April, so not too far from where it is now.

That Sunbeam must be saved! I see it has a Rapier badge on the tailgate from a 60s Rapier, along with pillar badges from the same type of car on the front wings. I wonder if this car was some obscure dealer special - I certainly don't recognise the striping or decals.
