Alright, lads, scored some right good bush the other day and the missus is going fucking proper radio about me rolling a fat one in the house, so I'm off to find somewhere to toke my nuts off. Hey, this looks pretty gnarly man,  wonder if the seller is open to viewing?

I am presently highest bidder on this but it won’t last............ Nice to dream

Good luck. Have you got £20,000 for the restoration? I should have bought my friend’s Sm when he was selling in 2009 - owned in bits since mid eighties and fully restored - half heartedly asking £15,000. Now probably  twice that.

I have no chance of getting it, but if I did I enjoy the challenge of hunting down parts for (relatively) next to nothing, time is no issue. The Capri took five years and Covid aside would have taken 7 or 8. If I do get it (no way), it will get zero on paint, be made mechanically and structurally sound and be driven as is.

must try one of these at some point

the only one of the very cheap ones of this age thats NOT  (cough) been a taxi

the side views are making go hmmm tho (not the body)

Have an identical car that recently ticked over 300k km, never taxi'd and on its second battery pack. They are a thoroughly excellent car, although visibility from most angles is terrible. Or I'm just used to 80s cars with lots of glass and tiny pillars.

Also, I was very disappointed to learn that the mileage freezes on all pre-06 Mk2 examples at 2999,999!

See if you can track down one of the 25 or so RHD SMs, mostly converted in Australia...

This is too far away for me, but it looks good for £495.

How would you describe that seat pattern? It looks like when a child helps paint a wall.

While other dealers are promising sterilised cars dipped in bleach to combat the 'Rona, this one is providing closeup shots of filth on the touch surfaces.

Like a 90s Halfords booster seat?

Just ‘the 90s’

Can't say I've been involved in booster seats since then. I just remember mine from sitting in my dad's Opel Monza, had a thing for green cars ever since. Looked like this...
