Not true.  Not ever, in the entire history of humanity.  Those Pov-spec cars (which were what most people experienced, not Mexico or RS types) were even less desirable than a pov-spec Golf, and coming from me, that says a lot!

Smart. Best shape and a great colour. It’s a shame that it’s been “improved” but, then again, it’s probably better than any Cosworth out there and a touch cheaper than a good one.

I did enjoy the “No cash / No view” line. “Excuse me love, I’m just off to withdraw 1800 fivers from the bank so I can look at an old heap.

1,280,000 yen.

Isuzu Bellet...according to Google:

"Canvas top specification Recaro seat second leg"

??⛩

From the front it looks like shrunken Bristol and rear a bit of the original Scimitar saloon.

It looks as confused as my mate's best man Letitia, who works at a builders yard and definitely is not called Mark any more.

What is it with mediocre Ford shit from the seventies? £12'500 would buy the best Alfasud on the planet or indeed any car with a shred of merit apart from (yawn) reliability, yet.............

I ran two Escorts like this in the eighties when they were bangers. That's how I still view them. Strange old world.

Before I clicked on the link , I thought to myself £12,000 ish. Not sure who would buy this though, 4 doors, estates etc are only bought to modify by people who can’t afford a 2 door. This is too nice and expensive to spend another £5k on a Mondeo engine, Capri wheels and fucking the suspension up etc, this is more the sort of thing a middle aged couple sit behind with a period* picnic set, looking bored in a field - and nobody buys an Escort for that , not when £12,000 will buy a very nice updated Minor Traveller.

These early '80s Suzuki scooters were interesting* in that they had a "conventional" automatic gearbox rather than the usual CVT.

£1850 though.

Really? It's a knackered old Hunter.

Holbay engine though innit.  Poor man's RS2000.
