How many of these escrote convertibles did they actuallt sell? Gumtree seems littered with thousands of them in various states of disrepair yet you hardly see any hatchbacks come up anymore.

I just couldn't bring myself to drive one. Even this one with it's excellent beavertail chic doesn't seem that appealling.

If it's wrong, I don't want to be right etc. etc. In the pic that you've posted, the wheels on that side actually look a lot better than than the passenger side used as the gallery pic. The rear Corvette badge looks a bit wonky in some pics and what's with the fit along the top edge of the bonnet? Still totally would, although it looks a bit steep on the price for what looks like a lot of work.

Oh dear. I knew this car, it belonged to Brad then sold to someone else. It was quite popular on the r800 site, seemingly because it has an OmG MnAualZ gearbox, lowered and oMg 17z alooyzzzzz.

In all fairness, a lot of work appears to have been done, although the masking up appears to have been done by Stevie Wonder.

Also advert has been typed by the dog in the photo.

The wheels are fake wire spoke wheels missing the wire baskets. Originally the car came with actually quite attractive alloys.

The rear script plate is just glued on on these and it looks like the glue has let go over the years.

The bonnet is simply not properly closed.

 

You are right, for what it is it is a stiff asking price, but Steve is very approachable. I might give him a call tomorow.

That brings back some memories of my childhood. Really, it needs white wiper arms and blades and a Fido Dido sticker somewhere. And possibly those things that made it look like someone's fingers trapped in the bootlid.
