Red Fav Esate, perfect for those prioritising practicality to the detriment of absolutely everything else.

This was offered as px for my buddy's Domino. He really wanted it but couldn't justify owning another rusty old Skoda.

∆∆∆ I proper like that Volga, the seats look especially uninviting. Long ago Car magazine did a look at the factory but were shown only the then new GAZelle production line. I think the guide dismissed the prospect of viewing the car being built with the comment 'such misery'. Earlier, someone attempted to market a Belgium assembled Volga fitted with a 40 bhp Perkins 4.99 in the UK. This may have elicited the comment 'such optimism'.

In the very early Seventies I went on holiday to East Sussex with the parents - memorably the last time I ever did so.....On the caravan site was just such a Volga with a particularly asthmatic Perky.   I thought it was the bollocks but nobody wanted to take a picture of it for me.

When it was built, the wearing of natty uniforms and really big peaked hats was de rigueur, although you did have the option of wearing suits made of and modelled on potato sacks, accessorised with homburgs or perhaps a trilby if you were a closet beatnik. Russian execs these days seem to be chauffeured around in stereotype german saloons in doom colours and glass so dark they won't even know your name.

Features in Goldeneye with JB.

Jesus, you wouldn't want to get behind that thing towing a Sprite Musketeer. On its own the 0-60 time is quoted as 63 seconds. Still, your encounter suggests they sold at least one. There was a diesel Volga near me in the 60's but I have to discount it as a sale because living near Peterborough it may have been on test- there were quite a few ex-Perkins Hillmans around too. They didn't need the 'square deal all round' badge, the clatter and blue haze told you what was under the bonnet.

It was actually the M21 version that I clocked in 1972 but deffo Perky "powered".    Even then it was as scabby as that Ebay one!

Yeah that Xant looks great and at 60k it's basically a new car. If I had so much as a pot to piss in at the moment I'd have that

That Velox is teh secks......

Forget all that 50s add on junk - all you  need for the true spirit of the times is a screwdriver, 5/8 AF spanner and spare fuses in the parcel tray.....

I remember one being advertised in The Sheffield Star for £250!. It was a very long time ago.

 Bloody Yorkshire men!

Didn't they only build that one for about a year? Lots of unique bits for so short a run, I can't remember ever clocking those rear lamps. I've got to have a lie-down...

Just remembered, these had best fuel filler in the world ever.

Yep, the last E series with the big grille was Oct 56-Oct 57 (the Wyvern ended even earlier when the F Type Victor came out).   Those rear lamps were 56/57 only....

I have Ten to twenty mclarens outside my window everyday, but I’d have the facel every single time. It’s in my dream garage list.

Very Rare, Rrnault Feguo, Turbo,

Only 3, left on the road. This is a medium project. It starts and drives, But I wouldn't drive it home until its been properly checked out, I can deliver for extra cost, it needs a small bit of welding, to battery tray, and onside o/s door, The central locking isn't working, and know Dash bored light's. I carnt open the N/s door. Its had a new ignition barrel fitted. And the v5, is in my name. It can be viewed after the 19th, as I'm on holiday at the moment. Northampton based. Cash on collection. I will listen to sensible offers for this car, email only, until I return. Best of luck
