Yeah that's my old one. I still have the V5 too, and I put it on SORN.

I thought the guy who bought it was going to banger it....

I knocked a shit ton of rot out of the front wings of that POS.

So the seatbelt mounting points are built into the door? Can you open the door with the seatbelt still done up? Is it impossible to fail the MOT on corrosion on the sills as a result of this?

2.9 with tweed. Misery.

Just needs a manual box for full shite spec.

The private plate is the usual Publican Norn Iron £99 Regtransfers horror show indicating that the '40 has in the past been owned by a peasant. Probably called 'Mal' or something like that.

And yet and yet it is an early 40 with not too many miles, clean looking, some 'poverty spec' charm and for sale in the Midlands not far from its birthplace. With the demolition of  the Browns Lane factory these era cars may be considered worth collecting? Put the nasty plate on retention and flog it...put the original reg back on, research the history - might be of interest.

Ahem, and I quote from the ad:

"Wanna sell meth in the UK? Or just ride around town with a fat black prostitute? Then listen up"

uh huh. You have my attention.

s-l1600.jpg

Was/Is this Bramz one? The one he got shot of because it was variously broken? The ad does say it recently dwelled in Blazingstoke, surely there can't be many formerly-owned-by-basingstoke-resident-oldsmobile-cutlass-for-sale-suspiciously-cheaply-on-ebay at any given moment?...

Reminds me of a bigger version of the Hyundai S-coupe.

Never thought I'd say this, but I find this better looking than the X300.

Some treats for you from the southern half of Hampshire

s-l1600.jpg

658cc, automatic (with a gigantic selecter), 5 doors. £100 per door. What a bargain. Is this Kei? Looks too big to me, but might be perspective.

That's a little beaut. I'm going to watchlist that and pretend I might do something about it.

HML says 13 Vivio's left with 46 on SORN (probably due to age of owners or availability of parts....)

Yes that is proper kei.

I'm surprised to see it's not got a/c as most do, and is it CVT?

I seem to remember they did a sporty one of these with 4wd and supercharger, just to be different as most other sporty keis were turbo.

Conrad was outbid by a scare on this a couple of weeks ago @720.00

Now it's relisted for one-and-a-half bags minimum bid.

Not sure what the seller is thinking, but it's something dinglebrained.

A marine habitat might be advisable for him.

2.9 XJ 40s are important and interesting Jaguars because they are the last Jaguars with one camshaft. Which is of course the correct number of camshafts, any fewer won't work. post-17481-0-83199500-1536605542_thumb.jpeg

I think this looks pretty cool:

s-l1600.jpg

1 OF 9 IN UK, WE HAVE 3

Key points:

TURBO

DUMP

BLEMISHES

What is the gauge?

s-l1600.jpg

And reading the ad leaves me wondering if it was actually a Turbo version and not a conversion.

Tried this one and gave up after the owner went cold. Ha ha. It has had a near full restoration from being in a house clearance shop to having nearly everything.

£3750 for a Riva needing a pair of wings and other bodywork issues? Has 2107 spec bumpers, when it's a 2105. Wings that are available are piss poor, and rust very quickly, the last of the line 2107s were made from a much lower grade steel aas well, worth maybe £1995 at a push

I did e-mail him asking what he did. He gave it 2107 bumpers because he wanted them. The 2105 ones were nackered apparently. Structurally it is sound. The wings are the only issue... apparently. He stopped replying when I said yes to underside pictures but when I asked first time round he assured me it was fine. I questioned him about the no nasty bodywork and he said there isn't and it passed MoT with flying colours, no advisories.

I'm pretty sure he wants his money because of what he did to the engine. He said to me he's selling it at a loss.
