That chap with the R4 fondling website repaired one with similar levels of tinworm; £1200 is a bit salty for a project though.

1967-1968 year car

tax exempt

with rebuilt 1995 components including engine and breaking systems and servo disks front brakes and

...seats and doorcards and lights and plastic arches and boot badges and steering wheel and column stalks and shroud and instruments and grille and foglight and side repeaters and

cat exhaust from 1995 passes mot emissions with no tuning

Since a 1967 car only requires a visual smoke test, I shouldn't be too surprised that your computer controlled fuel injection car with a catalyser can pass it.

Be like Trig, only with a 4-headed monster under the bonnet.  And more rust, obvs.

This one appears to have lost its towing eye covers too...

I sent an offer of £1 "on the basis that it's obviously been ringed".

It would be a real shame if the seller was to be bombarded with similar offers and messages totally by coincidence.

I wouldn't mind so much if they actually put some effort into it. This, for instance:

1963 Austin MINI COOPER

It's got an airbag FFS

s-l500.jpg

and a British Leyland VIN plate. In 1963.

Of FFS. There's a good chance that doesn't even have any business being in the country in the first place if it's a mega late 98 or newer.

This chap has managed to list this Scénic eleven times.  So he owes eBay £10 more in listing fees than his BIN price.  Superb.  The advert is complete dogshit too - appears to be a copy'n'paste from some random online car buying guide and then the Wikipedia page for the Scénic.

What the actual fuck?!

Scenic seller:

This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

Yep. Also in the business details the seller's number has a pipe character ( that's this thing ---> | ) in it!

Also in his listings though:

s-l1600.jpg

A rare chance to buy a classic phantom two door fixed head coupe, a model that is unlikely to be replaced and as such offers an excellent investment opportunity . This particular coupe was specially commissioned for the Festival of Speed in 2014 and so offers even greater provenance. A real one off car in fabulous condition and with bespoke detailing.

Anyone can afford an RR with an identity crisis!

These Mini ringers are muppets. If they used the i.d. of a '59 Mini they wouldn't need an mot at all.

These feel computer generated somehow, especially the Rolls Royce one.

They look like such a sensible* investment, and the seller seems like such a nice* accommodating* chap...

I love adverts which lay down the law before you've even started - always makes me scroll on by..

"Relisted due to timewasting ebay PRICK!! DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 320,000 FEEDBACK - I will need a £100,000 deposit within 90 seconds of the auction ending NO TIMEWASTERS OR DREAMERS.

No, you just crack on with that. Should make an entertaining thread.
