Spare wheel tells the tale of better days, now long gone, a bit like using the leg from your smashed Chippendale as a pit-prop.

Have we had this yet ? Looks hot and judging by the brown stains on the header tank it's also got hot at some time.

Bugger me a carbed 320, I used to have one with the slushbox and a thirst for oil. It was a lot of fun and very brisk.

I think the jist of this is:

He owns a shitty camper and wants a top quality repair for £700

Thats awesome, he wants his Camper van primed, painted and lacquered inside and out, plus the bumpers repaired and painted, PLUS sort out the wiring that he's buggered up, for 700 quid! I can just imagine what that would be like, he'll be ringing up every fucking day and coming round your unit checking up and picking holes in every bloody thing.

and you can guarantee he wouldn't pay on that basis!

When I used to be in the trade 10 years ago that Glamper Wagoon would have eaten £200 of materials easy peasy.

Production paper, panel wipes, thinners, filler, knifing putty, hardener, masking tape, masking paper, compound, mops, oh and paint and clear which is crazy money these days and you'll need a lot!

Think it'll be a get what you pay for job. ie he'll get complete shit.

Did send him a missive mind, asking if he could give me the number of whoever can do that lot for £700 as I got a couple of grands worth of work for them ha ha

One of my mates had a Scoupe Turbo, years ago. For about 3 hours. He ended up in someone's garden, having gone clean through the wall. He bought another one, an N/A, and stuffed it under the arse end of a Range Rover. His father then bought him an Orion 1.6D....
