Probably doesn't need much for MOT, the owner just hast put it in for one.post-17414-0-00209700-1421174427_thumb.jpg

As an aside,I had a Crown Vic taxi ride to Kuwait airport yesterday morning and it had pretty much all the things listed as faults on this one, ie ; EML,Airbag , brakes and tyre pressure warning lights on, horrendous diff whine, wheel bearing rumble and some major transmission slippage. It was showing 576,000 km though. Mrs N couldn't believe it was my automotive highlight in a week that included being driven around in much fancy SUV,Bentley,Porsche futureshite and even an Aventador ride

Trips to America won't be the same when they finally phase them out. I remember grinning getting driven in one in sanfrancisco even though it creaked like a fiddlers elbow. Mega want!

I'd love a Crown Vic also. Still it would appear that a ropey one is well out of my shite budget. :(

Lancia Y10 Fila - €450 in North Co. Dublin - I live in that neck of the woods, so might be able to have a look if anyone's seriously interested?

"1989 Lancia Y10 Avenue Fila special edition for sale.

Original Irish car with brown logbook. 4 owners including myself (I've had it since October just).
She is completely original inside and out. Overall in great nick for its age/mileage. The photos aren't very flattering, so I will update them as soon as I can. The passenger side door bottom has been mended since as it had a couple of bubbles forming. So the car has no rust at all.
It starts, drives, steers and stops okay and the oil and plugs are fairly new. The previous owner did say he had the timing belt done but I don't have any proof. I bought it from a genuine enthusiast so I would take his word for this.
NCT and tax are both out only a couple of months. The car hasn't seen much action since but with minimal work it will see the road again very easily. It is declared off the road (SORD) until April 2014 also so no worries there with back tax.
I think I have covered everything but if I haven't then please let me know and I'll try to answer all questions however much I can.
I am based in North co. Dublin".

Flippin' hell, how wonky is that?! Its like a real Zonda drawn on Microsoft paint, but with the DTs and a faulty shift button

I liked the intercooler pipes fabricated from drainpipes!

183000 miles so just nicely run in.

these early lexuses are ace. if i didnt have the jaguar, then i'd love one of these. i dont much care for the later cars though, toyota should have stuck with the big rectangular headlamps. they suit this big whale of a thing so much better than the later ones.

I saw this elderly dragster a couple of years back at a local meet and visually, it was by far the best there and just oozed character and long term ownership. Here it is tearing up the strip that day:

And here it is sadly for sale, as owner of 50 years has passed away.

With a start price of £2000, even with motor trouble I reckon that's a barg. Hope it goes to a good home.

^ that, for me, is what a hot rod is all about.  Just a random bunch of stuff bolted together in a vaguely car shaped form to go as fast as possible.  If it happens to look cool as a by-product then that's a bonus.

My R080 has an Audi engine fitted, kin useless. Doesn't have the strength to pull the car around at any meaningful pace, without screaming it's nuts off. In a (very) long queue for a replacement modern(re) rotary.

I'm following up that Y10......
