I had one just like that 40 years ago.  It didn't cost nearly that much!

I seem to remember the Corsa being advertised with the option of an integrated bicycle rack.

Yep, so do I, although that's the first one I've seen.

Very perceptive @Fabergé Greggs! Sadly I know what an engine rebuild costs, but if it stays cheap... there is that Flavia, though. And the Sierra...

Ain’t it a 2 stroke? If so then you’ve got about 4 moving parts..

That's what I thought! The missing block might be an issue unless @Saabnuthas one knocking about, but even so that's a £5k job...

Conversation at Lancia in the late 80’s:

” Hey Luigi , we don’ta have any budget for designing the new coupe, Cana we do it ourselves?”

” Si,  how difficult can it be to create an elegant coupe when constrained by using an existing floor pan?
“ Thatsa what I thought, these bastards at Pininfarina and Bertone have had their last Lira out of us, get your pencils out”

” Watcha this...”

Especially tragic considering what it could have looked like instead:

Lancia Kayak by Bertone based on the Kappa platform. Give it a little more rear overhang and it would have been perfection.

As it happens I do have a spare block, but £5k minimum. To fully restore that say goodbye to £20k plus, a lot of which will be postage costs from Sweden and the USA.

Plus labour.....

Lucky it doesn't need restoring, then. Tim Bishop engine, plus brakes and a good clean and it's good to go.

I'd be amazed if it actually worked that slick. Or if anyone has actually pulled in a Corsa D. A very bizarre accessory that clearly nobody really bought...

Oh how times have changed that advert is a film about looking at that women tits with a Corsa in it.
