eBay tat volume 3.

That LT above is about the only thing that could entice me to buy a VW.  It's way overpriced, of course, but looks viable.  I, of course, would be delighted to keep it as a plain, slightly scruffy van (perhaps not as scruffy as it is right now).

That LT, will be a straight six petrol too, M.Boll is correct about the MPG, but they do make a lovely noise.

Despite possibly incurring the wrath of Billy, I wouldn't mind it like this - without the stripes..

Left as it is, it'd be great. In fact, it's about a thousand times better looking than that P6 estate which looks like it's had a 3 month bath in every department of the sodding Autoglym factory.

Given the other couple of scruffy ones being broken on the ebay, there must be quite a few mouldering examples still around.

Sadly the ones still running seem to now be attracting scene taxation.

1 owner from new and 29k on the clock!!! Phwoar. Petrol engine mind you, bet it does about 14mpg

Pity it’s a 6 pot...

I rented a yellow one of these from a place in Wandsworth in 1985 and it sounded awesome, 14 mpg was probably a bit optimistic. There was snow on the ground that weekend and I think I went everywhere on full opposite lock, in fact I remember using it for general running around leaving my XR3i parked up., because it was so much fun. I asked for it a couple of times when we rented a van but inevitably got a nasty 1.6 Mk2 Transit

Anyone understand "timed auctions"?

Wow, the army only bought these ten years ago. The MoD are clearly managing their assets well and sell off a hundred grand's worth of truck for peanuts. A bargain though for the buyer - older MAN KATs are loved by wealthy adventure tourer types and the off road scene.

I'm probably their target market, I like hideous looking cars and would buy that (but not at that price) and paint it black.

Be like me but with exactly half the mileage.

You'll be fine* driving it home as everyone knows that any cars that have WGK on the number plate are Coronavirus travelling scheme exempt.

'it appears to have been an unmarked or CID vehicle'

Absolutely ideal* unmarked police car, as you could hear the wheezing pile of wank trying to start from 17 miles away before you smoked the entire county out doing 42mph flat out chasing someone on a Go-ped.

If that really is the only one in that colour , then it used to live near me and had an M5 —- plate, which always made me smile. It’s for sale in Bucks and I live in Bucks so it could be the same car . Whatever, it’s lovely, don’t these all have fucked petrol tanks though?
