Volvo 740 GLE Auto Estate

This is the Ex Bucketeer Volvo that I won in a Roffle at the start of September and it was arranged that Alex could remain in charge of it for as long as was necessary.

Original plans drifted and Alex left later than originally planned, this has had a twofold knock on effect, first the MOT ran out on the 1st of December and secondly my time during the week has become occupied with a rather mundane activity called a job with regular hours.

The car is currently at Six-cylinder's place and Chris had thought that it was going to Accrington last weekend but this didn't happen for reasons of an MX5 nature.

I'm not going to be able to get it within a reasonable timescale and Chris I'm sure would certainly appreciate it gone.

Pictures of it:

Alex's For sale / Roffle thread:

Cartakeback offer is £189 which would buy some much needed suspension parts for a certain Suzuki but from all accounts this is a great driving car but I have never even seen it!

Any interest here to save a rather lengthy collection trip and Six-cylinder wondering when on earth it would be leaving?

If it does go for scrap, can I get my notice back off the glovebox door please?

This is reserved for someone until I get a proper yes or no.

Glovebox lid sign would be in safe hands.

It’s off a Lothian Olympian so could it be heading home?

Indeed, it should be visiting Lothian almost daily.

Please say it's ghosty

Nope

I hope it's working its way north.

Repatriation  is the plan.

Plans are being made to get this 'home' hopefully at the weekend.

I just hope that it goes to plan.

This is the only place where I have met people who would commit to buying a a car without MOT within 10 minutes of me posting.

Alas I work for what was The SMT many moons ago. Repatriation on Sunday is indeed the plan, first to the SVM headquarters for MOT and then into daily use further east.

Bloody excited!

That's a great result.

Me and the bucket man tried to think of a way to move it north but struggled

The poor sod hasn’t been in Euro-Land 12 hours yet and you’ve sold his house already?!

For gods sake, have you lot no scruples??? :-)

Don't know what you mean. I'm sure the ferry docked over 12 hours ago...

It should have a good home with Adrian so I'm considering it a good outcome
