Primera GT with aircon and towbar now £295

Having strayed into Saab Aero ownership now sadly for sale is my Primera. Previously one of Wuvvum’s quality used cars I’ve had this sporty number for just over 2 years and it has been a paragon of 1990’s Japanese reliability. It handles brilliantly, good turn of speed and 40mpg+ easily attained with a light right foot. MOT April.

I have made the following improvements:

Replacing air con condenser and regas (works beautifully)

Replaced radiator and refilled with the green antifreeze as original

5 oil and filter changes (I’ve done 25000 miles in it)

New back brake discs and pads

New exhaust (except CAT which is original)

Towbar fitted

Cut out rot at the back of sills/inner wheelarches and welded up using weld through primer.

Replaced abs sensor

Replaced wishbones with decent quality Delphi replacements

Replaced knackered original stereo with decent iphone compatible Kenwood number (also has line in)

Replaced with secondhand dented bootlid (now badged GX to confuse) and one back door.

Got remote central locking working and wiper self parking.

The bad:

One of the front wheel bearings is getting grumbly and will need replacing eventually

Bumpers shabby and sill trims currently not fitted (mud accumulates under them so I didn’t put them back on after I fixed the sills)

When I replaced the tyres I went up to 65 series from 60 to improve the ride. This worked to an extent but at full lock the tyres now rub on the plastic wheelarch liners.

NSR door dented.

I think it could use a ABS reluctor ring thing because sometimes when you brake to a stop from low speed the ABS kicks in unnecessarily.

That looks awesome. Not able to buy any cars as wifey would rightly kill me.

However if I won a car........ (#28 & #47 if you go down that route)

Doubt you will need to though

Looks solid for age but is not mystic green so I lost interest and fell asleep.

Good price shame about colour

If it had Infiniti badges on it I'd consider it.

This is easlily achieved.  I have glue.

Have you got a scruffier one, I don't want to look too posh.

Aye, turning circle is indeed pants.  I think the crossmembers on these can suffer, but nowhere near as badly as the Almeras.

Do these like to rust like the contemporary Micra and Almera? My dad had an identical GT as a company car back in the day. He loved it, except for saying it had a horrendous turning circle.

Looks cracking anyway, good luck with your sale.

Yes, but it is a 20 year old Japanese* car.

I had both a P10 eGT and a P11 GT at various points over the years, arguably the best cars i ever had for pounds per smiles. Hope it finds a good home!

Phwoar. Would you like a swap for an MGF? With winter on the way it's the ideal car for the thinking Saab driver...

Yeah go on then, can’t say no at that money unless Jim Bell has already bought it

I just couldnt find affordable insurance, even though I tried quite hard.

Last time I try quite hard.
