Chumly is tomorrow. I am hazzing a big excite.

 

Yesterday I washed the car and gelled the black trim.

Today I put new Nivomat self levelling dampers and new springs on the back. Estimated 35mm lift over the old saggy springs (designed for Nivomats) and the normal dampers.

 

Tea time just now then a test drive to the tip...

I'm in Cheshire, drooling over microcars. Sadly, Elly the 2CV is drooling all over the floor. A pretty serious oil leak. Never good when you have inboard brakes!

Not best pleased but needs must. Not made a single car show this year which is exceedingly fucking irritaing considering I actually have a car both capable of the distance AND worth showing.

I've just picked up most of the T shirts and hoodies that I ordered months ago.

 

The Dacia was dead as a dodo but started with a bump and completed 2 miles at 30mph without kersploding so is obviously fine to travel.

Around 9am, at the Let's Eat Cafe on the A49 (postcode WA4 4EZ). Then we convoy to the show, only stopping at broken cash machines and to poke Rover carburettors with a screwdriver.
