Metal Guru Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 I had two new ( to me at least 20 years old) wings from a scrapper fitted to my car. Perfect colour match. You would have expected fading from sun exposure in 20 years to have made them quite different. In the 80s , I had a Ford Orion that had different colour panels due to fading from about 5 years old. bunglebus Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 You can't see it very well here, by my Orion had the NSF door from a breaker's yard car, and the bonnet from a different one, plus a rattle canned wing/sill after I had a slight mishap Oh and I got the boot painted at a body shop after I removed the lock Burnside and Jim Bell 2

Pieman Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 I love African vehicles, especially even older ones than that which are a proper mish-mash of various vehicles and you can play at guessing what they're cobbled together from! martc and High Jetter 2
bunglebus Posted August 31, 2025 Posted August 31, 2025 Subtle Dyslexic Viking, Rightnider and Burnside 3
Dyslexic Viking Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 bunglebus, Rustybullethole, Three Speed and 3 others 6
bunglebus Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 I don't know if I keep seeing the same Peugeots, or if there's something about this blue/red combo that their owners like - but here's another Burnside and Dyslexic Viking 2
Burnside Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Due to a unfortunate failure with the door glass last month. ☹️ My Stilo has gained a silver door. Hopefully only as a temporary measure! High Jetter and bunglebus 2
mk2_craig Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 Seen a few days ago. No photo of the drivers side, but I can confirm that it also has two doors in the same shade of blue! Dyslexic Viking, Yoss and bunglebus 3
Three Speed Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 A 1927 LaSalle demonstrating DuPont’s newfangled quick drying paint making two-tone (and three-tone) a thing.and some kind of Nissan demonstrating it could still be done many years later.

Rustybullethole Posted October 11, 2025 Posted October 11, 2025 Shit pic though due to the rear light tint and configuration this looked like it has the boot lid from entirely different vehicle. It also has'hybrid' written on it and was chuffing out some serious clagg. bunglebus, Dyslexic Viking and Burnside 3
Rustybullethole Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Spotted today. I really don't know what is going on here. Panels different shades, the two tone door... Parked half in the sun half in a garage for a long time? intentionally mismatched? made the best of a shit re spray? bunglebus, adw1977 and Burnside 3
