Well. The time has come. I have put a deposit on something equally as shite and miserable (collecshun Fred next week), so the tortoise must go. I’ll be deeply upset yet mildly relieved.

M reg 1.7 straight diesel manual Envoy, that means less to go wrong. Honest. 145k, with little history. Runs and drives mint (slow) one of the nicest driving cavaliers ever....if you can believe that. MOT till 20.9.18. Excellent MPGs. (200 miles to 20litres ish)

New clutch
New radiator and coolant
New oil and filter
New fuel filter
New ARB links front
New front winter tyres
New number plates

SOLD

Fwar. Thats lush.

Came here to say this

FTFY

And mean this.

I bet this is amazing in the fullest 1994 autoshite n/a diesel way possible

It’s everything you could imagine it to be, if you have a fantastic imagination.

Haven’t tried it on veg, runs efficiently enough as it is haha. Forgot to mention it had a new spring and full tracking done around September/October last year too.

Posted

The most Veg you can run in one of these is about a 50/50 mix, and even then only in warm summer months when "cold" starts are at 15°c. And you have to have near perfect compression. And all working glowplugs. And injectors with good spray patterns.

... so never then.

GLWTS. If I needed a very comfy way to die of boredom, I'd be all over this.

1994 M reg base spec with n/a diesel - sounds just like my old ex-Police Escort saloon. It had about 154k on it when traded in for my current car. GLWTS

If I hadn't just left £50 on a 1.9 diesel Rover I would have gone for this. Awesome. I love basic diesels.

If it goes to raffle I may be interested.

Roffle this. To not do so is a crime against roffling and a lifetime of woeful misery via Hyundai will be inflicted.

Posted

Roffle all the way!

Posted

I could do with a quick sale really so I can make room for the ever impending misery that I will collect end of next week. May roffle if enough interest but currently open to close offers! Bargain motoring for someone

Posted

a roffle possibly would be the quickest way to part with this glacially slow automobile to be fair

Posted

That looks like a Lucas pump lurking.

GRIM.

Have to confess I thought these were all Bosch equipped, but to be fair there can't be many on here who know as much about fuel pumps as yourself.

Posted

I'll stick with the Rover for now but if (or probably more likely when) I sell it, I'll let you know first.

Thanks, I'd appreciate that.

Posted

Ok, tenner a ticket...50 tickets? Not done this before so let’s see what interest we get.

Posted

Wednesday or Saturday. Allocate the tickets, collect the money once all allocated and draw at the one after you’ve had the money in. Bonus ball is the winner.

Posted

Cheers fella. Wednesday draw then. If not all numbers allocated by then will send it to Saturday. Get sorting your numbers out lads!
