High and Dry XG 30... What do we think

I wanted one of those myself, but spares availability put me right off.

Not a common sight on the streets now.

Don't know if they share spare parts with other models though.

Nice cars.

Buy it. Its Korean so won't break, big V6 and auto + its already had about £25k of depreciation.

Just check the tax before you buy it. 2001 was the year it all changed...

And scrap is up. Worth about £160 weighed in so if it shits itself in 6 months you have lost a little less than the first owner

You will have the only one in the car park, I'd not say no to one myself.  Get it bought and give us the full rundown on it!

I'd love one, on my list to buy for six months of running around. I can't imagine you'll get much better reliability or luxury for £500.

You can't possibly buy that as it's neither a Peugeot or 95 quid.

I knew something didn't quite seem right there...it's XG30, not C!

I'd bet any amount of money that the leather is as shiny and plastic as the wood trim.  Did they only come in silver?  I don't think I've ever seen one that was an actual colour.  Not a bad looking thing, mind.

I really like these, and although I question the sanity of the person who bought it brand new, at that price it is a no brainer.

Quite like these,

Rich on the Blue forum owned the one pictured. Was quite smart, lowered with those alloys

I think these look ace, totally would.

Buy it. What else did you expect?

It’s made for this forum... waiting for it to be bought.

GR8 for masquerading as the CEO of a middle sized Korean shipping firm if nothing else.

And you can park in outside the North Korean Embassy in Finchley as a wind up

I'd love to have a go at one of these, nice looking car I reckon and quite Bentleyesque about the hindquarters, as NfNW has pointed out.  Get on it 21,000 quid Bristol.

I reckon that looks pretty ace for the money, definitely get it bought. I'd second the point about checking the tax though, could be costly if it's late 2001.

Yes, do it. 495 is cheap too.

I'm sure it's the Hyunda Sigma V6 in these, the Mitsubishi engine is just a relative?

Looks like a decent bit of kit for the money.

Get it bought, and when you're done with it you can probably tempt R9UKE into a ferry collection adventure without too much effort... (think he still does lurk on here, even if the AS Facebook page seems to be his preferred milieu).

Gradually loosing the will to purchase. One would think if you'd advertised a car you'd answer your phone at once in a 24 hr period

Surely it’ll be about £250 at most?

The £500 madness doesn’t happen until 2006

Dunno about that, I took a 2003 Daewoo in part ex several years ago. Was £300 tax then!

Weighed it in purely on the strength of that as scrap was good then

Before March 2001 and above 1549cc means £245 for 12 months. Month newer and it would be over £300.
