I suspect the average IQ is somewhat lower than here, but they've all got lovely block paving.

Perfect.

today i popped to my mates bodyshop to pick up my alloys he painted for me, and i saw an austin cambridge that came in a while back painted, it makes me smile because this car was an absolute dog when it turned up, there was more hairy mary, newspaper and cag than metal in the lower quarters, wings door bottoms etc this has since been replaced with actual metal, the thing looks amazing

here it is flatted ready for polishing

Bloody love it, where else could you find a pic of a geezer washing his wheels in the bath with a dog looking on, yet it all seems quite normal.

I just collected a set of alloys that are in better condition than the set on the mx5 and have decent tyres on them - cost £50 :) one has a dodgy valve but I left them in the honda when I dropped it off at my friendly mechanics for an mot, I'm sure he'll sort it.

I'll stick them in the bath when I get them home :)

"I've got a better car/ more money/ bigger cock than you" shining through a lot of posts.

It's the reverse in this place, you need the worst car possible to fit in, ideally.

Is true! I feel decidedly out of place 'cos I ain't got a shed (though it's a Honda so....). I am though, a shiter at heart, just can't have one at the mo' due to health and parking.

I often feel like just buying something shit just so I can join in....

In other news, my e-cig is now charged and is once again being smoked. Amazingly, I prefer it now to 'real' fags!

Oh, and my cock is fooking MASSIVE :)

The 'new' car being off the road since Friday due to a snapped exhaust and Mrs Beard now using the 'old' car as daily transport! Result 1990 1 - 2007 nil.

passed a lassie this morning on the M1 southbound, she was driving an 88 inch series landrover station wagon.

none of that OLLI shite as the car was almost as it came off the line at solihull.

pressed steel wheels with sensible road tyres fitted.

i guess that it was her car.

it was fuschia pink! with a cream roof......

and it looked ace!

plus i passed a wolseley 1500 on the trunk road out of redcar this morning, which was nice.

Who made this?  I just found it in my Austin file, I'm sure it was someone on here made it from an eBay advert.  It's amazing.

Two woman from some university down south were in college today interviewing us for some kind of study they are doing into the classic car industry.

They didn't know what to say when I had found out a out the course I'm on after following links from a place called autoshite :-)

Working last Sunday, I was travelling to Hull..... going down the A19 I came across a motley selection of AuldTat.

It was pissing down so hope the MGB ragtop was weather proof!

Dolly Sprint - Jeezze they are T..I..N..Y

Sunbeam sports (the one that went in the river, in Get Carter)

Stag... happy @ 80!

... but best of ALL >>> running in the wake of a Jensen Interceptor [@80+!!] I hustled his boot and he walloped it up and out of the way... I was fair high on the Fuel Vapour he was laying down - moderns just don't do it right :-(

I'm in Cairo, and its chod Mecca out here. In between trying to cross the road I've been amusing myself by seeing exactly how shite a taxi I can flag down. Honourable mentions to the Peugeot Pars and the Sahin, but current leader is the BYD F3:

Made space in the boot by putting the rest of the veg in (was down to 3/4 a tank) so 170 miles and still a full tank from the same transaction!

She doesn't sound like she's running quite right though...

I got some proper 'sales aids' today which will have you lot flooding in to buy a shit car off me. More about that tomorrow or something. I also went though some old messages on RR*, and found the one where some lad called me a 'tramp' because I wouldn't accept his stupid offer for my car. I traced back to the old for sale thread and had a bloody good laugh.

*That's NOT a dig at RR or it's users in general, I hasten to add, it was just a one off

Remember the 106 automatic I had not so long back? The lad who bought it was using the shell to make into a 16V one as he'd crashed the last one. Anyhow, he sent me pictures the other day and I have to say I reckon he's done a class job of it. Probably not to everyone's taste, but I think it looks ace...

Dropped the wheels and tyres off at the VERY busy tyre place before work. Could see the relief on the guys face when I said I'm here until 5.30, I'll wander over at lunchtime to see if their done, no rush! (as I saw 5 people in the waiting room, all the ramps were in use and 2 people turned up whilst I was there!)

I know I'm a bit slow on the uptake here but it's only just occurred to me how amusing it is, when you consider its shape, that the Toyota Estima should share its name with a variety of Potato.

It's Chester Races and it's raining. I'm just praying that all forms of public transport go into some sort of meltdown now and scores of pissed up knobheads have to stay at home.

On the raniest day of the year so far I have 2 lovely new rain tyres fitted to wheels...sat in the boot...

Only £20 for both fitted too including VAT which is nice. Hopefully it's not fucking it down when I get home so I can do some wheel swapping!

Added bonus I couldnt see out of the rear window so turned the rear wiper on, let it get stuck at mid way then helped it round a few times to at least clear the screen...it now works fine again!

As long as it works fine next Jan for the MOT that'll do!

Don't think the rear wiper is part of the test.
