I assume the bloke at the front holding the suitcase, that looks nothing like Del Boy is meant to be Del Boy? I have no idea which characters any of the other people are meant to be other than Tony Angelino and uncle Albert though as we are not given any visual clues.

At least I hope that's meant to be Tony Angelino and not Denzil....

The man from the ministry, he say... YES!

(Two advisories. Not a bad result.)

FFS that OFAH bollocks has utterly ruined this thread.  I'm going to write a strongly worded letter to the internet!

There is actually a video of that OFAH (TXTSPKYO!) thing online:

It looks property awful. None of the characters look anything like who they are meant to be.

They do seem to do a Fawlty Towers one where at least Basil does look a bit like John Cleese.

About £40 a fucking ticket too from looking here:

I would still rather eat a dead rat out of a bin though than eat at one of these meals but suspect they are all corporate bookings. As I refuse to be schmoozed by insurers as I think they are all cunts, I am glad I shall never have darken their doorstep.

I passed this on the M1 just before J30 earlier. I thought it was just being temporarily carried somewhere, til I noticed the matching number plate.

"Ayeup love, mind that first step"

"What step?"

"waaaaaaah!"

I talked to a man and a woman in the scrapie today about their MGF.

It had been off the road since November, and I said the best thing to do is stick some K-Seal in and then forget about it. Man got a bit flustered, saying it blocks the coolant passages. I said it doesn't, and you should ignore the advise of tossers on MGRover forum as they don't know what they're talking about, at which point the woman puts her finger over her lips while looking at her fella. He was a member of MGRover forum! Surprised lol!

Two advisories and a "that's better than it has any right to be going by how rough it bloody looks".

Top job! Glad its back distressing the roads once now.

That was an autocorrect typo for disgracing but seems just as appropriate.

Gen up, proper MOT centre! Car behaved as impeccably as an asthmatic, multicoloured 27 year old 740 can.

Also THOSE pants are still down the side of the airbox. That'll have helped.

Those pants have been in there long enough to be structural.

a few weeks ago we had to do some bull shit computer based personel thing at work.

on friday, we got the report thing sent through individually. it is a belbin (belkin?!?) thing where you answer a load of bollocks questions and they then say what your place is in the team or some such thing.

apparently, i am a lazy gobshite who doesn't like change and doesn't delegate well or finish stuff......

which is pretty much true!

Is that the .org forum? It really is a festival of fuddery.

Yes, they were ok though, the male of the pair was removing air con system from the MGF to put in his wife's. I thought it was funny as I remember posting up the exact same complaint on here about two weeks ago.

Hats off to this place again. Messerschmitt Owner very kindly went out of his way to pick up a great bike I bought from PVDan and Shitelyd it up North for me.

Christ, is that the new Corsa or an Adam next to the mk3 Cav? It looks like a mini Porsche Cayenne.

Posted

i believe it to be an adam, and as such it is a SMALL car.

which is why is bigger than the mark 3 cav its sat next too.

i didn't realise however that the bloody things that big. FFS!

that micra k12 i had used to tower over the mini and metro, but they always were propper small cars even when new!

Posted

The new Viva (there's a thread on here somewhere about it) is smaller still and has the same looking front end. I quite like the Adams, but will for prices to plummet first I think.

I'm currently pretending I haven't seen a Corsa VX/R I can afford on finance.

Posted

This month's Car and Classic has a luxobarge feature with a pair of previous AS calendar French fancies - Boobydoo's white Tagora and the ex-Pete-M Peugeot 604.

Posted

The new Corsa now looks the same as the Adam front on, I was very confused when I saw one and thought it was a 5 door Adam.

My ma gets her new Corsa delivered tomorrow. Top spec includes heated steering wheel! Actually looks very nice.
