Bobby know-it-all from round the way asked us to recover in his high quality* hot hatch in, one we had already told him was in poor shape 6 months ago when he first got it.

 

The ignition barrel we informed him was worn has failed, as has the recon starter. The balljoints that were knackered 6 months ago haven't been fixed by the french car fairies either.

I inspected the car for it's mot, the rear beam is knackered and there are 4 areas of extensive rot.

 

If he'd bought any more of a pup, it'd be wagging it's tail whilst pissing up his leg.

I sold my Volvo on ebay for £249. It was a really good car, but was 'surplus to requirements'. I did 8000 miles in it as it only went wrong once, the day after buying it. It was the crank sensor.

I met the bloke in Lime Street station and after saying hello, he handed the money over, signed the docs and was off. I'll be saying soon I shouldn't have sold it, it was a brilliant car.

The most bizarre thing is that the funds have come from the parentals for this one, without my asking, I have literally no idea what's going on with them but gift horses and mouths and all that.  I do only have a week to make a decision, strip a car down and get rid of the remains though so it's not all sunshine and roses.
