Would / could that blade have been intended to injure clampers? Or harvesting MOT tester DNA in order to create an army of MOT tester clones?

These thing rot like they've been parked down a salt mine so you need to see it see some picture of the thing. Yesterday he post up a website with 30 pictures on it not one of them containing a picture of the actual car.

Here's some samples. They're too huge to actually post the pictures.

Knackered parcel shelf from Maestro served well both as snow traction plates and improvised shovel so that Mk1_4dr could get his OMGDRIFTYO Volvo out of the car park. I feel helpful.

Some flats on our road are sheltered housing units and one of the elderly ladies within runs a battered 1994 Corsa diesel. It looks like it has never seen a spanner in its life, but continues to run and go. Delightfully shite and faded pale blue bodywork with many plastic trims missing. Just the black double sided tape left. No obvious rust. During the colder weather it takes an age to fire up, sounding like a truck. Am guessing several heater plugs are not working. Always starts eventually though. Clouds of white smoke, but starts.

Respect. Maybe all Vauxhalls aren't shit after all?

Makes me grin every time it starts. It ALWAYS does.

^ Now then now then!

Watched 'Play Your Cards Right' with Bruce Forsyth on Challenge TV.

I thought it was from the late 1980s seeing the contestants' clothing and hairstyles but it was from 1994 once the end credits finished. Hoping that the star prize was going to be a Metro City X, I was surprised when the retired couple actually got to drive away in a Rover 400 series with the chrome grille. :shock:8) Given how expensive Rovers were brand new from the 1990s, that must have been a very generous star prize.

I've seen some of those, and The Price Is Right, with similar expectations I have to say. I think game show budgets across ITV shot up in the late 80s, or else the car manufacturers started donating the cars for advertising purposes. I seem to remember in Family Fortunes, Les Dennis gave away a lot of Daewoo Nubira Estates.

Those 90s gameshows make me feel old. They're some of the first programmes I remember on TV and now they look so... archive.

Also my attention span has been obliterated by the internet. I tried to watch an episode of Play Your Cards Right but it was so boring I kept being distracted by more interesting things like staring at the floor.

I may be a bit behind the times here, but I understood that the only way to see what was on each tv channel was either a copy of the Radio Times or to actually change channel.

Even in the analogue days you could get an on screen "now and next" for all five channels (Ceefax 505, Teletext 123). This hotel TV took a few seconds to change channels and only displayed one channel's listings at a time. It was pretty tedious.

Was Ceefax not 606 for that?

Had a text this morning at 5.30am - "R we going" - my mate a few doors down ready to give in to snow chaos because he's frightened of snow.

I told him that we were going in my Astra and to get his arse in gear as I couldn't afford to lose the wages.

Made it in one piece despite his protests.

Then a nice change at the supermarket after work - deserted of the usual jogging bottoms and slippers crew so no panic buying chaos.

Punto sold in under 24 hours! I thought it would get some decent interest as I put it up for under book price - but without exaggeration I had something like 10 people wanting to come and view. I was trying to show the guy round the car and my phone wouldn't stop going off. Turned out to be a good sales tactic as he paid pretty much what I'd asked. Nice enough guy as well, although I'm waiting for the cheque to clear before letting it go.

Now I have no excuse for not getting the Yugo up and running..................

Decent amount of snow combined with not being that busy means that small Lobster #1 and I have had an ace day playing in the snow and building snow persons.

Just had a little chuckle at the PT cruiser thread over on R-R. Theres some lad fancying getting one and giving it a 'personal twist'.

My ideas all revolve around lowering, red steelies and chunky oldskool whitewalls. Your wheels have now prompted a slight rethink and I like it.

As for the rest, I would go for a satin finish in one of a few colours, including but not exclusive to : Black. Dark olive green.

brilliant! Although i'm not sure that strictly qualifies as an 'idea', thats like saying you actively 'chose' a passat Bluemotion as your company car, when in actual fact that was the only car available.

Cartakeback. Got a text at 08.15 reminding me of collection and the fella was outside, ramps down, paperwork in hand an hour later. No messing about or haggling, £235 later and it's gone. EXCELLENT.

A hurried, and shit qwality, iphone picture of its departure with a trail out the back of it the Red Arrows would be proud of !
