ITV4 at the minute is making me most happy - Sweeney, Minder, Legend Bunnell, The Professionals.Outstanding.

A film called "The Big Lebowski" I've just got it on DVD and it is superb! I strongly urge everyone to locate a copy ASAP! The Cohen brothers at their best.:lol::lol:

Brilliant film.El Duderino!

Takeshi's Castle is also good for this kind of stuff. Craig Charles has the time of his life with the double entendres. One from yesterday:"She's got hold of both his balls so she's on her knees and can't stand up properly. Now she's taken one right in the bum"Also uses the word "wazzock" a lot.

I'm not quite sure how he manages to get away with the last game where he bangs on about "rings" being "penetrated".

Charlie Brooker. A true genius if ever there was one.

He doesn't come across that well on the TV, preaching to the converted and confusing gurning and swearing for comedy. He's often less cutting than Harry Hill who's on ITV at 7pm on Saturdays, not a relatively obscure channel post-watershed. Sort it out Charlie!

I'm looking forward to the new series of Newswipe next year though, it ought to be a bit more insightful than the Screenwipe Review of the Year.

His columns in the Guardian are much better.

Yeah, that panel show thing seemed particularly tame and he looked pretty uncomfortable with the whole thing. Much better on the page. On several occasions I have been reduced to uncontrollable groffling on crowded trains thanks to Brooker books.

The heater motor in the Hillman has a bearing that is past its best. So when its cold and you first turn it on it makes bit of a sporadic wailing sound. Actually we realised it sounds like the noise required to beckon the "Dove from Above" and so we now make cooing noises and beckoning motions when I turn the heater on.I think you had to be there. :D

My gran sent me 3 bars of Tablet this christmas, Im sure some of you know what it is, and Im sure some of you detest it, but I love it. And my 1983 book, Extraordinary Automobiles came today, full of tat.

Fantastic! Mrs Tilly's tablet is ace, I always try to get a few bars of it when I'm back in the old country.

If there's one thing Scotland does well it's recipes involving sugar and/or saturated fat. :D

Whats with the courier as your sig? Is it because its a shitey paper??? What about the Central Fife Times which is surely a worse offender.Always makes me laugh that they boast about their circulation figures on the front page every week, despite the fact you get it stuffed through your door whether you want it or not.

Everybody has started putting their local rag in their sig, I just thought I'd jump on the bandwagon :) I wanted to have the Fife Herald, which is the local paper for my town, but they don't appear to have a logo available online.I can't say I've seen the Central Fife Times, is it what used to be called the Leader?

She is lovely.....I would.Repeatedly.

The roads this week. No traffic. Absolute bliss! As long as you stay away from shops. I got a bit too close to a shopping centre the other day and was amazed at the queues. And people do that for FUN?As for Emma Bunton - she's nice but Rachel Stevens for me every time. Ta.

On a 10-mile trip across the motorway this morning, I saw about three lorries in total. The M62 Eastbound was so quiet that I didn't see a single person using the outside lane!People who work in an office and take their annual leave at this time of year are bonkers - roads are clear, it's nice and quiet, nobody rings you. It's my favourite time of year by far, if it was always like this I wouldn't be half as miserable.

Absolutely. I always work between Christmas and New Year - journey to work is much easier and theres nothing much to do when you get here. I've brought the Sprinter in today, that way I can get a few bits of jobs done!!

I thought like that, especially as a couple of days we get to piss off early so it seemed pointless booking a full days holiday. This year I wish I had booked the time off though. Been a fugging nightmare and even though I got off early today I've been on the go since 07.00 and it was fucking freezing at the part of the plant I was working at.Anyhow back to happy things:Cavetter Junior has landed himself a job at a garage today. Two days next week on a trial basis and then one or more days a week if he does well, to compliment his college course. He's chuffed and so am I, and secretly hope he gets to work on some shite as well as modern stuff!

Great news on cavette junior especially in todays climate , when hes qualified maybe he can fix all your shite for you , a ready made free mechanic , although i bet he will want some dosh .

Cheers, that's the plan. If he does ask for money I'll just remind him of all the times 'Dad's Taxis' bailed him out and the XBOX he will 'pay me back for within a month' he had 12 months ago
