While putting the Xmas decorations back in the attic for another year, I happened across a bag full of old brochures. Shite-tastic!

Highlights: Ford range from 1978 to 1985, mid-80s Austin Rover range, early-80s Vauxhall and Opel range, 1982 SD1 facelift, 1992 Citroen range and BX 16valve, 1978 and 1994 Jaguar range, 1982 Audi 200, late-70s Merc W107, and the 1978 Renault range book (literally - it's a paperback book!)

Needless to say, I sat reading these for so long that Domestic Management had to come looking for me...

"No its not" says Matt.

"It is look!"

I am a geek. The look on Matts face; I'm sure it was pride... :?

I did that too!

Me: "There's a 2CV!"

Holidays are ace. Just come back from Malta and 16 degrees. Went swimming in the sea (was freezing) and had a lovely time. loads of old shite but not allowed to take pictures of the cars (Missus got a sulk on) She fell in love with an Alfa Spider she saw out there .. plus liked the look of a poker 968!

I bought the Golf with no v5 (seller lost it), expecting to have to line the DVLA's pockets with £25 for one, but when digging through the old SH for the car I found a couple of blank, old "new keepers bits". Send one in with the V62 and you don't have to pay the fee.

Let's hope they don't notice it's not the one that goes with the currently issued v5 :D

There's also another even older blank one, which I might use to tax it to save waiting a decade for the v5 to come through. :?:

Another Youtube video that made me grin:

An animated car chase with toy cars. From 1978 apparently.

WHAT IS IT????????!!!1!

Making me happy today is that, having cause to drive into the middle of London, it took me an hour to get there and an hour home, which is almost unheard of, and managed to blag free parking for the whole day, which slap in the middle of Westminster is unbelievable. Still got bummed for a tenner for the C-charge but can't win them all.

Just watching National Lampoon's European Vacation on Sky, I forgot how much top drawer quality shite is in the film! Yellow Maxi's with roof racks FTW!

Making me grin is a painless ebay sale, I sell my laptop for £200, The winner phone me, arranges a time to meet, turns up 1/2 early and pays cash and goes home happy.

That is how ebaying should be done. :D

Black metal band Cradle of Filth have topped an online poll carried out by tourism chiefs to find Suffolk's most iconic image.

The group, whose lead singer Dani Filth is from the area, triumphed with 13,025 votes - more than six times as many as the Broomhill swimming pool in Ipswich, which came second.

Other nominations included more traditional images such as beach huts and landscapes, as well as more of the area's well-known figures including former England manager Sir Bobby Robson and music producer Brian Eno.

The poll was carried out by tourist organisation Choose Suffolk, which asked people to submit photographs of their favourite Suffolk icons in a bid to promote the region.
