I am now a fully qualified interpersonal mediator.  Scary course fees were worthwhile in the end!

I've just realised when I had Star Trek quoted at me, that someone out there is so AS they own the final frontera...

Im feeling a little better. Spent since early hours Tuesday morning in runcorn with a very nice 42 year old liverpudlian lady. She certainly helped me out my low mood .... Still here now! Keeping it car related though she drives a megane, does her own car repairs and likes my avensis.

I was just passed by a minty Volvo 700 estate on a private plate on my way out the Clyde Tunnel and it wasn't hanging about!

In the six weeks I've had mine I've only seen one other, a silver '89 GLE estate. It was LHD and on trade plates. Seems like it's only minters left really now.

Unfortunately haven't tried it yet - they didn't have any in the fridge and I'm staying in a hotel so can't chill it :(

According to intertubes it's back on draught too but no idea where

I will say one thing, there's something on the can about nitrogen and an arrow pointing up with some bubbles around it. The cans go off like they've been shaken up a daft amount when you open them, and they really haven't.

To me lager is for lazy home drinking when nobody's around but if I'm in the pub it's always ale. That said there's a fair bit of variety in canned lager alone!

That's because it's smooth rather than fizzy like other lagers - just like canned Guinness draught...

I've not been on Guiness for a few years! Did get me into proper beer though.

Parked in town yesterday and in front of me was a 1967 Chrysler Valiant V8. Out of the driver testing place (A.K.A the bookshop) came a young fellow with the driving tester. They got into the Chrysler ! Young man with real class. It makes all the proper V8 noises too !

No.1 son has been learning guitar for a while, he likes Green Day at the moment and has worked his way through a lot of their songs, along with a lot of other stuff

I played him Screeching Weasel - Cool Kids on the way back home and he asked why old songs are better than new ones...He was muttering about needing to find a drummer to play with him at next years Leavers Assembly!

Punks not dead!

Anyway I had some vinyl cutting to do so made him a sticker for his guitar

I don't think he would get the Woody Guthrie part but another of his favourite songs is Tribute so it's kind of apt.

Is this Junkman returning from another 405 collection?

The Saab 9-5 bought in January from Barry Cade of this place is just 10 miles short of 150K now. Not bad considering it was purchased eight months ago with a paltry 132K on the clock. Four new tyres and three (full synthetic) oil and filter changes since purchase. The ABS ECU threw a wobbly and needed repair but apart from that the miles covered have been quiet and reliable. Mostly at over 35 mpg which is nice for a 15 year old car on the daily slog.

I was reinstating the railing that a neighbour had paid to put a gate in for their bin.

The owner of the property was a little* annoyed when he noticed it after his holiday as it is his land and nothing to do with the neighbour!

View out of my office window at work. This is pretty shite.

Mechanic* in Frontera replaces front prop shaft on knackered hi-lux for worse fuel economy.
