Oh no, someone has removed the fuel pump heat shield that I carefully sculpted out of tin foil over many seconds.

Get him to put a heat shield back in as gravity feeding fuel into the pump every time I needed to hot start the car did get annoying.

Sent him the the advice - he has gawn all bloody OCD on it - just shod it with brand new tyres - stripping all the chromework and thinking of sending them to be re chromed - Jeebuss

Man has gawn all ''Damien'' from the Omen flicks :-o

Good spot, they're rare.  Makes me wonder though, what was the Tercel's market?  Apart from the rather odd 4x4 estate, it seems to be the same size as the Corolla, or have I got that wrong?

The Corolla at that time was a rear-drive saloon (or estate); the Tercel was a FWD hatchback.  The next gen Corolla came in hatch and saloon flavours and replaced both.

Aye, great spot.

Fuckin-A, friend of Fred, that's top knowing OKK is getting the treatment from a nutter.  Couldn't have gone to a better owner :D

In other absolutely excellent news, after about 3 weeks of being passed around we finally have all the paperwork for the house move APPROVED.  We've also been given loan of a Transit for the cost of fuelling it and as soon as we've got a date to move on we'll be out of here quicker than a rat down a drainpipe.

2 car drive and single garage here we come!

I collected mrs fp's wheels from being powdercoated today, they look bloody fantastic, I supplied new tyres to be fitted while they were there

I've just given them 2 coats of hard wax so brake dust should slide off

Your Mrs is on wheels? You must really love her to stump up for alloys for her, next thing you'll be fitting her with winter tyres

Bought some for vectra, can't say I notice anything spectacular but my headlamp aim is off. Wouldn't pay that much again if I'm honest.

Got them for the Shuma, very impressed so much brighter. Going to polish up the headlamps as well.

Haha, she doesn't use her car that much so winter tyres would be a waste of time on it, she did under 1000 miles between m.o.t's the tyres that were on perished before they had a chance to wear, we use the saph mostly

My headlamp aim is off as well as lamps need polishing too. Could be my problem I suppose?

I have to say I noticed a massive difference with even the 'lowly' +50% ones in multiple cars, I never bought the +90% as they were a bit more but they really made a big difference in my opinion.

They seem to be on a perma-BOGOF at halfrauds too, so while they are slightly more expensive than 1 normal one, they are loads cheaper to get 2 for the price of 1 and then install both and keep the used 'regular bulb' for emergencies.

I think Silver Stars are good but Nightbreakers cheat by having a blue filter to make the light appear whiter. As you might imagine the +1000000% claims are SPURIOUS, buy they are genuinely brighter than cheap bulbs. I believe percentage figure is achieved by walking around with a light meter and using the reading from the position that has the biggest difference between standard and the posh bulb.

Because my car is in bits and I gave the Omega back today I walked home from work. It's only about a mile or so if you take the footpath through woods and fields rather than the 2 1/2 miles along the road. It was very dark and also foggy so at times I literally couldn't see my hand in front of my face, or my feet, or the ground for that matter. Good job I know the path well or I'd be at the Slaughtered Lamb by now asking for directions.

Grin is because of a random incident. While walking a dog ran up to me, and wouldn't leave. Nice friendly thing but no tag on the collar. While I was wondering what to do I heard a voice calling in the distance - I turned to face the sound and shouted back "Have you lost a dog?" The reply was "Is it a white lurcher", "Yes". "Thank fook for that!". I walked towards the sound with the dog and a relieved looking man appeared from the mist. The dog had bolted because of a firework, and he'd been looking for her for almost an hour. I'm glad I was able to help.

Who sets off fireworks when it's zero visibility fog?

i fixed* the shredder - for some reason it would only run in reverse so case removed and a bit of tape over the safety switches and I am a shredding King once more :) an amusing amount of sparks from the motor and the reassuring smell of ozone filled the house !

Very good to see the Princess back in action and receiving some TLC.  Phil's probably taken years off his life with the amount of grief that car gave him but it was worth it in the end and it does also remain the only BL car I've ever driven.  It was surprising in many ways, the engine pulled nicely and it handled well, plus it was very comfortable.  Keep us posted on progress!

Will do - Yesterday he shod the Cursed one with new Boots - £120 for a set of 4

In the town today and out from the parking lot for KFC came a late model Lincoln Town Car. It looked like a convertable and a bit of google said they were made. So today I have seen a huuuuuuge 4 door convertable Lincoln :-D . No camera though :-(

I would think so. I polished up the lamps on the 75 a bit and it made a massive difference, still more to do on them.

I ordered some nightbreaker bulbs yesterday, my bulbs that are in the saph are shit, i was pleasantly surprised when I put some in a focus, so I thought I'd give them a try for the price, just gotta wait for them to come

We had a nosey at this, has a mazda RX7 engine and lots of internal bracing. Looks fun!

Meriva passed too! Apparently the occasional clunk that comes through the steering could be the inner track rod end (outers look a bit tired too), so will look into that next year after the roads have gone to shit then been badly and hastily repaired in the spring

This made laugh in disbelief

Just saw this on the TV guide

9:00pm-10:00pm The Great Pottery Throw Down

New series. Sara Cox invites 10 home pottery enthusiasts to gather in Stoke-on-Trent, where they take part in a competitive throwing contest to determine which of them should be named Top Potter. Through a series of 18 challenges, taking place over the course of 35 days, the competitors will be judged on their craft skills and creativity by ceramic artist Kate Malone and master potter Keith Brymer Jones. The competition gets under way as the amateurs take part in a four-day assignment, in which they must produce a set of stackable kitchen bowls from lumps of earthenware clay. They also face a Spot Test, in which they must attach handles to 20 mugs within a strict time limit, and a Throw Down, where the judges ask them to make as many egg-cups as they can within 20 minutes
