Watching an Aussie reality show which was following the traffic police about. They stopped an old car "just because it was old". As it stopped a female head popped up in the passengers seat. The rest was hilarious, even the cop was desperately trying to keep a straight face. Quotes " his fly's still undone" "she was resting her head in his lap". I think the driver was sent on his way with a warning about paying attention when driving.

Last nights' work Christmas do was truly splendid - Free bar all night, 5 course dinner, casino, dodgems, burlesque show and disco followed by a night in the local Hilton to spare me the 50 mile trip home...happy days.

 

And as it's payday I braved the Black Friday crowds and treated myself to a new watch

that compressor is a good find!

 

work does such stupid things like throw perfectly good furniture/tools/equipment away.

 

i got 2 chairs and 2 filing cabinets from work when we got new furniture. there was nothing wrong with the old furniture, except it had not been picked by the owners girlfriend, and we was doing the paperless office thing. 

 

afterwards, we used just as much paper as before, only the super-dooper new desks were too damn small for even an A2 drawing, never mond anything bigger.

 

i would have saved a proper drawing board too from the skip, but i couldn't get it in the car (someone took it instead)

If it's owt like the one which we had until recently in work it's cheaper to buy a whole new compressor than a new engine, if you can find one. The folk that made our old ones basically said that even at ten years old all parts were more or lesa NLA.

I have got that same compressor but mine is a single phase. It has been great for the last 7 or 8 years but blew the head gasket a few weeks ago. You could still get it from Clarke but I just got some thick gasket paper and it is up and running again perfectly.

I shouldn't have grinned at this, but.....bloke up the road has a new sofa. Whether he intends to keep it in the top floor of his dormer bungalow or not I could not say. But that's where it is....Window out, ladder up the front, big fuck off DFS Black Friday special wedged in the dormer. He can only just push from behind without falling off the ladder, it doesn't look like its going to go all the way in and now its started to really piss with rain. Leave it there mate, at least the room will keep dry.
