I bet it put a damper on the cat's weekend.

I'm sure he'll rebound from the experience, as long as his compression didnt lead to depression..

Buy something with a K-series, ditch the antifreeze and run it on pure RadWeld - guaranteed* to never leak or have HGF.

I went to a scrapyard today in Wigan and they had rows upon rows of quality stuff. Ferrari Testarossas, 308s, Porsche 911s, Lamborghinis, loads of old Japanese performance stuff. I've never seen anything like it, must've been about 300 top whack cars on racks, just withering and fading away in the rain.

Er, a LOT more information required if you don't mind!

They sell damaged repairable cars on ebay for more than a non damaged one from what I've seen-TVR wise anyway

I do occasionally toy with the idea of selling the fleet and buying a Masser like that one.

Dougie valley, hearing the name reminds me of a funny story, the greedy boss I used to work for bought an engine for a continental gt for 6k from them for a customer in London, who he charged 10k + delivery, the customer paid on 2 credit cards without quibble, so the engine was purchased then personally delivered by the boss at the customers garage of choice (which was a grotty arches type garage) as he could smell a scam a mile off, yeah right, he dropped it off even though A the car wasn't there B the customer wasn't there to show I.D C it wasn't the address that the credit cards were registered to, can you guess what's coming? A couple of days later barclays fraud team called to say the credit cards had been reported stolen and the money is being retracted, bit weird as the customer knew the balance of the cards, but as the boss broke the golden rules of card sales didn't have a leg to stand on, we all told him that it would end in tears but he wouldn't listen as he was clouded by the profit

The Wheeler Dealers episode with the 3200GT was on earlier today, I can understand the temptation :)

I've got a bottle of red, some Morrisons after-eight style chocolates, Last Leg on tellybox and a 5-day weekend looming. And I've just heard my work phone make the noise that it makes when it turns off with a dead battery, SEE YOU THURSDAY SUCKERZ.

Watching s1 of new top gear (with Jason dawe) drinking beers with a mate and playing both the "is it still alive" and "how much is it worth now" game!

Looks like it's from the original Gone In 60 Seconds.

Do it, I've been saying it for years :D

My mate Dave had one of the later ones, 4200 with semi auto box. Had it for YEARS and stored it every winter and every spring it wouldn't start until he put a teaspoon of oil down each bore!

He looked after it like a baby (owning a garage helps - I own 5% of it as well and my wife has another 5% now... sob!) and it was really good but when it went wrong, boy did it like to have lots of pennies throwing at it! Rear suspension went solid - the ecu had failed and a 2nd hand one cast over a grand and it still had to go to Ferrari/Maserati to be put on their machine as it refused to 'talk' to the rest of the car.

I think, all in all, it was quite reliable, but Dave was always very tight lipped about it when it went wrong and used to clam up about it. Then one day it got sold... no idea why but he let it go for six grand, so something must have gone wrong BIG TIME!

It looked lovely, bright red with cream interior (which showed the muck something awful and the drivers seat was just ingrained and ruined) but the bodywork was perfect and it sounded effing gorgeous! If he'd said he was flogging it, I would have shown an interest....
