...we went to Upton-on-Severn for a bit of lunch... where I spotted some great old comercials outside an old garage...

Town end of the bridge? They've been there since I was a sprog! 8)

Yes, Regal garage it's called.

Lol, funny video that Wat. You look like you had fun making that.

On saturday I fly to Prague for 2 weeks teaching work!

I am a little apprehensive as the company are a bit vague about exactly what I'll be teaching but should be an experience.

Plus shite-spotting potential!

Is that John Payne's place? Various ex army Bedfords and a Diamand T wrecker all on 'q' plates, would love to know the story there.

Still has attended petrol pumps; saw an A35 filling up there and couldn't get the camera on my phone to work

Where did you go for lunch? the star always used to be good for food at one time

Yeah. I have convinced myself that they would only do that to Americans. Plus, I am petrified of Russian women.

It was, and we got a decent mark for it as well.

I'm going to see if the raw footage of us towing that go kart thing behind my Ford Ka still exists.

Someone told me to watch it but I ignored them and went to Slovakia first.

Watched it later but it's not put me off.

Mr Sparrow assuming you are single you could do a lot worse, have a look.

Went out for a drive in my 02 this afternoon though the North Suffolk / South Norfolk countryside, along the little, windy lanes through Swefling to Harleston and coming out at Diss, Covering about 80 miles in 2 hours, I've never been up there before but what a great day for it!.

The amount for fun you can have in a old car on those lanes is fantastic, and the little 165R13's squealing on nearly every bend even when doing 30mph made it feel much quicker too, Bliss. 8)

Hey, you were in my patch! There are a lot of good B-roads around that area, usually with little traffic on them. I had a trip to Ipswich and back yesterday and went on various back roads rather than trudging down the A140.

Stolen Datsun dampener aside, I enjoyed yesterday as I spent all day at Foxhall for their big Spedeweekend 'World Championship' races. I love that place and the fact they still use old 1960s theme music to introduce each race. Best of all, they even had Jim Gregory commentate on a race.

Yay for 6music being saved :D

Really?? That is good news.

Hasn't stopped them taking Don Letts' show off BBC iplayer though. Bastards.

C&SC doing a buyers guide on the 635 while mine is on ebay. Phone is going mental, but not reached the (low) reserve yet..

Exploder man is getting desperate now.

looking through last years Thornes Park show pics, and I found my pics of a rather special P6 that made me think of PeteM.

This is the only pic of the car

But check the spec 8)

i bet thats a laugh if you say a 4.2 SD1 is quick

280 BHP!

I hope it has good brakes! , I can't understand how someone can spend a fortune on restoring the car and building that engine and only cover 120 miles in 6 years, I'd just want to drive it all the time.

Maybe it only does 8 mpg or something!

I bet its worth it though. Aint no-one going to expect it to move like it undoubtedly does.

Just saw this car in a 1968 issue of Autocar, What is it?, It's a bit ugly!, Maybe it's a Bond?, Any ideas?.

Me too - your making me homesick!! Spent many a sunny afternoon driving around those lanes - did you come across the Citroen specialist near Wortham? Keep meaning to find that place again - plenty of tat in that yard.

Looks like a Bond Equipe 'vert to me. The front is certainly very alike.

Mr Wobbler will tell us all about it Im sure :)

Sadly not Tom, I never crossed over to that side of the A140, I did see a CX Safari in a driveway very close to there though but i couldn't get a photo of it, (Now thanks to the wonder of google streetview)

Definitly not a Bond. Flat screen/door/rear arch looks very like a Spridget one so I reckon that's a fibreglass nose on a small Healey/MG

I regularly see that /\ CX, think I’ve taken a photo in the past. Maybe it’s coincidence, but there seems to be a local mafia of Citroen specialists and enthusiasts around Diss and Eye. I’m not aware of the place in Wortham though, must investigate that some day. Just found where it is...

Seth's on the money. Looks very Spridget-like but with some sort of home-brew plastic nose. Lots of people were playing around with glassfibre in the Sixties - not always successfully...

I see that CX too, it's a G-plater and looks in good nick.

My mate bought a Cavalier from that Citroen specialist in Wortham, it's fairly off the beaten track down a load of side roads but yeah it does have a lot of tat there.

Went to Lichfield yesterday with a mate in his KV6 Rover Sterling. KV6s deont have a good repuatation for realiablity, but it was the best car I've been in recently, it was nice to be in a car that had actual working aircon and was comfortable.

Saw a few mates from the from Rover forum and generally had a good laugh.

Went to Staffordshire today and saw a minty fresh G-reg Ford Escort XR3i along with a bonus minty Red Cortina (Sadly didnt get pics)

Made it there and back with the car sipping petrol.

I'm starting teacher training in September, and seeing as the tuition fees have risen astronomically since I did my degree, I thought I'd apply for a student loan. This was all done in April and I hadn't heard anything since, until last week, when, lo and behold, Student Finance England rang me out of the blue to tell me that my application was all present and correct and was being processed. Never thought that'd happen, I was juat expecting a letter 2 days before the start of term saying my application had been denied. BONUS.

P.S. Check out all them damn commas in that middle sentence, I'm going to be teaching 8 year olds ALL THE WRONG THINGS. "No no no you tiny-minded-cretin, it are spelt OMFG!"

The aircon on my R plate 820 is still ice cold for some reason. Many 4 year old Peugeots seem to have faulty a/c even at that young age.
