I've been watching a lot of this Watch Wes Work channel. I think he's in Idaho somewhere working on total rust buckets including a fleet of ran into the ground snow plows.

Nice find ! I just love the way the cars wobble around on standard-ish suspension and such a variety of shapes, I could watch this all day...  The Elf & Sapherty side of my brain is mildly dumb struck by the lack of cages and in some cases helmets, things were a bit different back in the year I was born! It goes to show that what modern saloon car racing really is missing is wobbly suspension,  it really adds to the sense of movement and excitement for me anyway.  Good distraction from job hunting anyway.......

Interestingly enough, the car inspector guy who looks for the VIN plates and engine numbers (he was on the phone to NZ police at the end of the video), was also in the X Cars documentary and Police Interceptors I think as well. EDIT I'm pretty sure it's Car Wars actually.

Funnily enough I've been doing the same thing. Anything that contains stolen cars being rung/cut 'n shut in Greater Manchester will almost certainly contain him, most recent one I think I saw was from 2008.

I remember this series being on the telly.

John Peel was a great narrator.

The old boy with the Jowett Javelin is quality

You've got to respect someone taking the engine out of one of these on their drive garden using jacks and axle stands.

The engine is absolutely fucking massive.

I know the guy who owns this and he does indeed use it for work, whilst all the other guys who do his job use modern utes or 4x4 SUVs. He's a very switched on chap and actually a lot more laid back than he comes across on video.  He wears a lot of orange hi-viz as work clothing, hence the orange bits on the car. Overall, there's barely a thing I'd change on it. The Morris hub caps aren't used on the Vitara wheels any more, so perhaps a slightly older styled rim wouldn't go amiss. I've not seen it on the black wheels or with the winch attached, so that must be the weekend spec.

Funnily enough this popped into my YouTube feed independently today. I came here to share it with others but can see it’s already been identified! I don’t know how the YouTube algorithm works, but I can only hope that it’s us chod-botherers that have dredged this up. 👌
