Of course it's completely out of fashion now, however its historic in that it symbolises the Max Power generation. Give it another 10-15 years when my generation (who was the Max Power gen) grow to middle aged, this will be in massive demand.

Yup yellow Carlton Lotus rep with a 3.0 (bored to 3.6 maybe?) turbot, slower than the real LC obviously. IIRC it used four front wheels as doing the bodywork to fit the even wider rears cost too much. I believe it ended it's days through a shop window later that year.

I'm not sure how to tell if it is a factory one without looking for propshaft or at the rear axle.

 

Any joy from the V5/VIN or putting the reg in a search? Sometimes catell.ie or similar can give the declared model.

 

To find out if 4x4 works try setting off hard on loose surface and see which wheels spin

Anyway I think these are gonna be a good one to stuff in a barn somewhere too. If it's got twin exhausts, it'll be quattro. The 150ps FWD version had single pipes.
