Apparently, I'm calling up the owner of this van on behalf of the business with a possible view to purchase.  Mike and I nearly rented the house next door to the owner, but the overall condition put us off.  The house was pretty rough too.

Time to remove the winter tyres.

The Continentals have been very impressive, but they're utterly wasted on a bone dry motorway, which is what I'll be driving down tomorrow. Back to the Michelin Energy tyres that were on it when I bought it.

Changing them was no problem, apart from the fact that someone had rattle gunned the offside front wheel up. My breaker bar wouldn't touch them, and my electric impact driver struggled! Not pleased. Needless to say, all the bolts I'd torqued up came undone with no bother at all.

Ooof! The council?

Nah, the Sigmund Fraud/GaryCox 740.

Ha ha ha, U SHUD OV USED A MULTI LAYR STEAL GASGET

Gaffer did say "that's gone awfully Rover on you". Then told me he's buying a seventh Rover 75 on Monday.

Ouch ! How does the head look ?

Not too grim actually, surprising considering that when we turned the engine on the crank it liberally pissed water out the number one exhaust port.

Stopping overnight on the Isle Of Skye. Had a great drive up on some fantastic roads, through stunning scenery, ive been really lucky with the weather!

Stopped en route high up near Glencoe to give the car and I a well earned breather....

Just along the road from my house is a roadside vending machine that sells eggs and bacon. I thought it would make a good photo opportunity and I was right.

One 'like' is not enough for that photo, Skye is a stunning location and I'm rather envious that you're travelling around it in that car too.

Drove the 2cv up to Oxford to visit sister and family. Both nieces (3 and 6) wanted to play in 2cv which ended in tears for both with one thumping head on door lock and the youngest getting strangled by the steering wheel. Apparently I'm a bad influence:-)

Also touched 76mph on the sat nav on the way home!

Diagonal support is on the wrong way....it should always point downwards towards the bottom hinge. This directs the unsupported part of the gates weight into the lower hinge and post.

The gate will sag the way you have it.

I built a fence the other day but it is of poor quality.

No real excuse I was just in a hurry and trying to block the gap at the back of the garden to stop any scroteandie getting in . I shouldn't have bothered rushing as I ran out of wood.

What? That's bonkers. Brilliantly bonkers.

I got more excited but then realised they wouldn't be cooked, and this wasn't quite the greatest thing in the world - some sort of robo-served breakfast. However even raw, that's top ten stuff.

How isn't there vending machines that sell eggs and bacon on every road?!

That's the best idea ever!

Posted

The future is bacon and eggs vended automatically from a wooden shed.  THE FUTURE.

In Japan you can find a vending machine with anything.

I actually have seen one selling used lady underwear. I really did.
