Its a MOT Pass - coil springs were the original, so can't complain - back of the car looks as though its sitting a little higher now - MOT cat was absent ...

No it lacks pusscats... 🤣🤣🤣

This bothers me, actually; all garages need MOT pusscats. I may have to write to my Local MP, innit.

I've been off work for a couple of weeks. Came back yesterday to find one of the barbers on my delivery had two kittens roaming about the place.

This one was sat in one of the barbers chairs when I came in but followed me over to the table where I usually deposit the mail and proceeded to try and sharpen his claws on my leg.

Rehomed a couple of kittens ages ago.

One was an unsociable bugger, but the other liked to sit on your shoulders,or around your neck.

Which meant she would Climb up your leg, torso etc until she got where she wanted to be.

I frequently used to be in the kitchen first thing in the morning without a shirt on.

Bloody painful 😱

The Rover has failed the MOT on the handbrake again, as it does nearly every year, although I did try it out the other day and it seemed to be working OK but evidently the brake rollers decreed otherwise.  This year only one side is bad so I'm hoping I can get away with tweaking the adjuster on the shoes - keeping my fingers crossed for some dry weather this weekend so I can give it a go.

Everything else was fine, and it still hasn't needed any welding, which for a 23-year-old Rover with nearly 200K on the clock is pretty decent going I reckon.

Spoke too soon - rain is getting into the boot round the GPS antenna again.  I'll squirt some Captain Tolley's around it which will hopefully help in the short term - it's going to need re-siliconing though which will have to wait for a dry day.

I've had good results generally with modified silicon sealant/adhesives... (MSP)..

Eg stixall (Toolstation et al)

Just seems to stick & last much better than yer "silicone M8"

Other colours within reason are available...

Always makes me a little sad as I stand pissing through the fence that you can't picnic on the stones like we used to when I was a kid.

Used the byway as a stop over more than a few times though today pushed on for London leaving the county of my birth behind. Its funny how i lived there only for the years before my recall though it always feels like home.

I've a mate who would 100% take that as a challenge if we came upon it whilst out on our trail bikes.

To his credit i've seen him ride through seat hight rivers on his Tenere more than once. I on the other hand have flooded more bikes than i care to remember so tend to be a little more reserved these days.

The footpath goes to the left into a field, over a footbridge and rejoins the road. I met a guy walking a bike the other way who had chickened out of riding through. I think the depth sign was 3+ feet.

A friend brought her cat down with her whilst she's visiting her Mum - this is Otto Von Bismark  (the cat not the girlfriend or her Mum ) Otto looks permanently pissed off ...

The solution clearly is a hovercraft.

I have a week off.

I have plucked up the courage to try and get my SD1's engine running -if it's dead then it's decision time. Rebuild or move on.

Had a 3 hour round trip to visit relatives today. The A4 behaved faultlessly, and thoughly enjoyed* splashng in the potholes and getting muddy on the raods of East Sussex and kent. Passed a convenient lay-by to take this milestone* pic:
