It’s so close to my house I used to pop in for an hour or sometimes less between work and the kids bedtimes. I’ll only go when I know I can stay a bit now. Probably go from every other week to maybe once a month. Numbers went down from nearly 200 the week before to around 60 this week according to Facebook groups I’m in. There’s been a lot of online anger as it was just dropped suddenly with no warning or discussion.

What exactly do you get for your £5?  Free coffee? Or sod all?

You get a drink with entry, but I wouldn't call it "free" having just handed over £5 for it.

the tyres are all brands that sound like AI generated Amazon brand names so I daren't go too hard on her.

This was evidently hard enough to blow the side out of the backbox. I might see if he'll sell it me.

Definitely low attendance numbers this time. Completely cleared the place of chavs though, so it's not all bad.

I deffo meant the 14 because I distinctly remember this factoid from my I-Spy Cars book back in the day! 😁

That was the only possible positive I could see… looks like the modified Corsas/fiestas et Al are starting their own meet…

Pretty sure I remember that Fifth Avenue being for sale, or actually owned by someone I know on FB!

How about a fwd New Yorker though?

I reckon two and a half bags would be more realistic for something like this, and that's assuming it's road worthy. There's no mention of MoT, which is quite telling. The reg number doesn't return any matches on the .gov website either.

Today's choice of transport to the office.

Do co workers comment on your choice of transport or do they just ignore it as it's not something they aspire to on a PCP?

There is a group of people further down the office who usually have a debate when I turn up in something unusual - I don't think they realise that the cars are mine though.

My team are used to me turning up in random shit so they barely raise an eyebrow now.

New viscous fan coupling for my E36 320i. Being a Non-AC model it has just a belt driven fan, and it wasn’t making the usual roar that they do upon startup. Seeing as summer is just about here (supposedly), and ‘show season too’, I Purchased a new Sachs one from C3, and nipped the fan out.

Yep… that’s pretty nasty. That black goo should be inside, and make the fan clutch in when warm.

New unit for comparison…

Fan bolted back up and ready to go in…

I did this between work bits, Fan and shroud refitted, and took it for a test drive. Fan works correctly as it should. These cars sound like a bus on a cold start, and it does again. Then the fan quiets down after 30 seconds or so. :)

Yeah, too expensive for what it is but he'll realize eventually.

2cv self portrait.  Parts for replacing all fuel pipes ordered this morning. Bought a pump as well just in case and they're a good price.

Don't know where else to put this - I'm pretty sure I stumbled across this garage once before but it could have been another place. Interesting though

On the A41.

Old fella who owns the garage was quite ill last I heard, that was a couple of years ago. He had tried to sell up, but I believe to no avail.

Had a good old nose round a couple of times in the past. In fact tried to buy a Triumph Herald convertible off him once about 15 years ago, but he wouldn’t budge on price iirc.

I went there to take pics for @motorpunk's book on old service stations a couple of years ago, was a bloke working in the back of it in a woodworking workshop.

I’ve been passing it for thirty years. It had a ripple 2cv in it a few years back. A bit further down the a41 nearer the m54 is an old place that used to have loads of Volvos and Saabs outside.

I’ve been driving it for 20 years, I think we both visit parents by driving that way!

Other house still has loads of Saabs outside. He’s selling some. I tried to buy some parts of him for the 9000 once. Nice fella.

The ripple belonged to one of the owners friends, I pulled in once whilst in my 2CV for a chat!

old building or like 100 years old?

Maybe 100 years old, it's not properly old because the corners are right angles!
