Taken me two hours just to get the washer bottle off the Panda due to the usual rusty bolts!

Worth it, as gives me better access to cleaning up the rust and I didn't snap the bolts off which is a major bonus.

Happy to report the headlining I've repaired and recovered hasn't immediately collapsed.  It's also vastly improved the quality of sound inside the car, much more than I expected it to.  This is my first foray into sticking a mirror back on to a windscreen, I'm really hoping the Stass brand tape I'm using is up to the task.  Duct tape is just to hold the mirror in place while the Stass tape glue bond fully cures.IMAG7038.thumb.jpg.f852fec207171a4dc69cde48f2f1e043.jpg

If not, there's apparently a contact adhesive similar to superglue available at Wickes recommended by the chap that has just installed our new shower.  The old shower blew a BIG fuse in the main board and we've learned also that the fusebox is likely the house's original and all the replacement bits are now unavailable.  I guess we're saving for a new fuse box before it also decides to crap itself since now we've fixed something in the house you can guarantee another thing in the house is just itching to break.

Did a little test run, smacked through some potholes, over some speedbumps and the Stass tape has held fine.  We'll have to see how it fares long term, especially with temperature changes and the lack of support from the duct tape.

2cv has just failed to proceed. First time in 20+ years! Looks like it's got an air leak in the fuel line. Nothing coming from the tank under siphoning, but does if pressured by blowing in the filler neck. Luckily made it home before stalling, but I knew it wasn’t happy about something!

Mavericks last night.

I'd love to add that Fifth Avenue to my fleet.

I know people get attached to cars and are sorry to see them go.  Has anyone every got attached to something that doesn’t even have an engine?!

Our covered trailer has gone after such a long time we cannot even recall when we bought it.  Ten years or so we think.

Yard has an empty space in it now!  It was on eBay and I was inundated with enquiries.  Must have been too cheap?!  Anyways, too late now.  It’s gone!  😢

Slightly gutted to see it go but it wasn’t getting used anymore.3BC4B2DB-344B-4B4B-BF95-6D310DA56012.thumb.jpeg.8f77d201af2dfa9665acff3932affe0b.jpeg

The chap who bought it has just collected this old Mitsubishi from Dover.

Both teams of mechanics concur. New pipe to be ordered in the morning, and rick will come round with trolley jacks snd stands to drop the fuel tank next week.

Ah!

No, it was made by Brian James in Daventry!

Barwell are just a dealer as far as I know. The trailer’s a Brian James I think.

Ah, my mistake. I see the name on the side of the things daily and thought they made them!

Another attempt to get the moped runner failed again... it will only run on aerosol vapours, fuel tap is opening I've tried adjusting mixture nothing, even running fuel directly from a funnel into fuel inlet pipe, still nothing, reckon gonna have to take the brand new carburettor off and look...

#arrrrgggghhh missus keeps saying to get rid of it... #Nottheautoshitewayluv

And again… I didn’t go last night 😂

I was working this week, but also not happy at their £5 per person charge which they have now decided to implement for entry.

And yes… the fifth avenue is amazing. The lady that drives it is lovely too. Has an Oldsmobile as her daily!

It’s so close to my house I used to pop in for an hour or sometimes less between work and the kids bedtimes. I’ll only go when I know I can stay a bit now. Probably go from every other week to maybe once a month. Numbers went down from nearly 200 the week before to around 60 this week according to Facebook groups I’m in. There’s been a lot of online anger as it was just dropped suddenly with no warning or discussion.

Didn't get as far as I hoped today on the inner arch, but did fit the new rear bumper trim  thanks to my Brother.

Not sure I used enough tape to hold it overnight while the adhesive cures?

What exactly do you get for your £5?  Free coffee? Or sod all?

You get a drink with entry, but I wouldn't call it "free" having just handed over £5 for it.

This was evidently hard enough to blow the side out of the backbox. I might see if he'll sell it me.

Definitely low attendance numbers this time. Completely cleared the place of chavs though, so it's not all bad.

4, 5, 6, 14 and 16 all had the unequal wheelbase IIRC.

Not sure about the 5, but yes for the rest
