I actually prefer the Lupo. Lovely styling.

Anyway, in Wobbler news, I've slept on it and decided that selling the 2CV would be like selling a limb.

So, Disco has to go. £850 shite price.

Good shout. Who needs a 4x4 during a welsh winter anyway, surely the 2cv's skinny rubber will cut through the snow no problem.

Last winter, I sold the Maverick just before OMGSNOKAOS and survived, with a BX on winter tyres. Anyway, I don't really want to sell the Disco, but cash is needed.

I know the feeling wobbler, I could buy a cheap mondeo , sell the xm and put the difference in our moving out fund. Wish Amy would let me do the same to her car, could prob pocket 800 quid if I did it right with a nice focus or something

Just got the xmas tree, proper needle dropping nice smelling one from the usual place down the road.

It's great having a van, non of this tying it on the roof or driving home with the floppy top down in the rain like the others were doing. Straight in the back it goes with the toolbox, mig welder, half dismantled motorcycle, offspring number two, the weeks shopping, a surf board, random tat and empty beer cans.

What's the script with the D-i-s-c-o, please Ian? I.e, tax, MOT, mileage, any known problems? Also are you only after a straight sale or something PSA diesel shaped in part-exchange, he said ZX/306ingly?

Here's some waffle I sent to an interested party earlier.

Disco's chassis is good, nearside sill will need welding for next MOT. I've just had the offside sorted out. Boot floor is messy but solid. Nearside inner wing will need tidying too. Some scrapes to the nearside, big dent in the rear quarter offside (like that when I got it). Tyres are new Avon Rangers, wheels have been refurbed. 2nd gear synchro a bit weak, rear axle a bit noisy but drives well. Had the timing belt and water pump replaced over the summer. It's only done 1000 miles since then. Has also had one brand new wheel bearing and comes with another two ready to fit (not yet needed) and rear radius arm bushes. Has a bit of a clonk and the bushes are hard. MOT to September. Tax can be added at cost.

I drove to a secret* location in rural Essex this morning, to collect some HIGH QUALITY DUTCH SHITE.

I'll make a proper topic when I have a minute. For now I'll just say a big thank you to Ken 'purplebargeken' for the TOP NOTCH SHITE, to Matt (of Essex DAFs fame) for showing me around the DEN and providing some gratis PARAPHERNALIA and to Kev 'scruff' for ensuring DISCREET TRANSPORT of the goods back to Fraud Towers.

Well my Arosa is a bit of a dog. It's been owned bya smoking teenage skateboarder so the interior is a bit minging with a few bits of broken trim but it's nothing that shouldn't clean up good. The paintwork is absolutely terrible and i think it's been in an accident at some point in it's life. It's going to be looked over by a much more experienced mechanic than myself on Tuesday but it did only cost me £350 and i should be able to fix it up to a decent standard.

That's my favourite weather (well, sometimes)...very melancholy .

Picked up the Rover SD1 today.  Yes, there is definitely wob involved, but no more than expected.  Drives like nearly new.  Very happy with it - proper collection update tomorrow and pics when it stops raining and there's some daylight (middle of March?).

Had a GR8 day, thanks to Sigmondo for coming to the aid of my truck when the fuel filter blocked on the A303, 3 miles from his gaff! Sorted quick and got my return load and just got back home after a diversion on the A1 at Sandy.

As the Citroen is broken the Fiesta has been my daily for the past two weeks.

These are not particularly well known for being rust proof, as was evidenced by this one when I got it (a story I really must get round to telling at some point) so I gave it a damn good wash and now it looks good again and the salt is gone.

It has made me smile driving it every day as it is such a capable little motor

New tires on the Accord coupe at the weekend, cost of tires (4 x Bridgestone A001) and alignment was only just short of 60% of the purchase price of the entire car......

Massive difference though, it's quieter and the ride is much improved.

However the new found tranquility in the cab has been spoilt by a grumbling noise coming from the engine/gearbox area that was being hidden by the noisy old tires.

Time to turn the Temperance Movement CD up just a little louder I think........

Nipped to the local garage today, where the Sirion was lifted into the air to allow the gearbox oil to be checked. Looks like it's probably the original fluid so that'll be getting changed later in the week.

Sadly, discovered some woeful bodgery while it was in the air. Looks like the rear chassis legs have been bodged with glassfibre! Thankfully nowhere near the suspension mounts but even so, that's quite bad. It may be for sale nice and cheap in the new year if anyone fancies a welding challenge. Or, if finances allow, I might see about getting it properly sorted out.

Drive to Liverpool

Get in Sheerline

Add fuel. Count wheels. check oil and water

Drive about 170 miles home

If reality differs I will get pics write it up.......

Went for a walk up near my mums house the other morning, she said "have a walk up there, see such and such, he lives in the middle of the woods with no windows in his house, no running water and acres of old vehicles" so obviously I took my camera and checked to make sure my bank account was 100% empty before I went up there in case there was anything I might try and buy off him.

Anyway he's only about 15 minutes down the path so I got there and he was out chopping wood, I'd met the guy before and he's a sound old chap but didn't want me wandering about taking snaps because he's been stung by some cunts before who claimed that and he ended up with a load of stuff go missing not long after.

He said I could take a few photos off the path, but he wasn't all that comfortable so I just took one shot:

I looked on google earth and he's got atleast 60 vehicles randomly spread about 35 acres, I'm absolutely busting a bollock to have a poke round the place but he'll take some working on.

Disco may now have a stay of execution due to an offer of finance that hasn't come from a bank (we don't do bank finance). That said, a mate of mine is coming to look at it this week and if the offer is right, I may accept it.

Still enjoying the ST.

Listening to this whilst on my evening stroll.

Excellent.  Will be listening to this tonight.  Recently been leafing through all my old copies of "Car" reading his columns - the man was a genius.

Ive only replied, all in capitals, "will U take 200, can collect tonight etc"
