Wife's Jimny Cabriolet broke down again - it really is an ungrateful little bastard of a thing! Fuel related this time, I think. Turns over won't start. I ended up pushing it back - all caught on my own cars dashcam which doesn't require to be pushed - if it did I'd bridge it - hear that you little Japanese (built in Spain by Santana) bastard !

Think this crank no start is an immobiliser fault. The immobiliser light is showing on the dash with ignition on and there's a locked padlock symbol next to it. Never noticed either of those before, bastard of a thing. Have disconnected the battery will leave that overnight and try again tomorrow. Local Suzuki garage my wife phoned again today said - we don't have a tow truck (it just needs a tow, not a tow truck), and suggested that after leaving it for a few days as it has been, the dirt in the fuel pump & filter which are combined in the tank, great idea that is Suzuki, might have fallen out by now? In other words they don't give a shit, gravity might fix it?  :fingers:

You wanna a tow (with yer Jimny) - I'll get you a tow - off a fecking cliff and laugh as it is destroyed into a million pieces.

Pontins Southport has bitten the dust.

I’m amazed any are still going. Mind you the cost of centre parks is even more amazing,

Before leaving for work I lashed this up using timber from the ‘crap that’s no good but I don’t want to launch’ pile:

I got one spur in this eve:

Will get the rest done over the next couple of evenings.

I hate digging.

I have a couple of those to do in my back garden. I may just bin off the panels and posts that are there and replace the lot.

Monday I spent an hour fixing my parent’s garden gate as the wind had blown some panels away from the Z support frame.  Put about 10 screws into it, which is an improvement on the nails that were there. Used my great grandads hand drill to make the pilot holes.

That’s what I should probably do to be fair, there’s more spurs than good posts now. I’ll have to put a couple of new panels in at the very least.

I don’t think so. It was a bit like this….

i am sure the electric drill would have been easier. But I didn’t fancy that hour or so of looking for the extension cord.

my dad has lots of tools from his grandad.

You need one with a shoulder rest then. Adds the force.

C15 has been pressed into service for my daily commute this week and it actually manages to make driving to work fun. It finally stopped raining here long enough for me to stop and take some pictures.

The fair wife has broken down in the Rover 75 on the M1 in heavy traffic between 25 & 24. Autoaid have been called and charged her £25. I wonder how soon they'll get there...

I'll be looking for a replacement car as her trust in it will be gone.

What about a replacement wife, i understand you might be attached to her, but you might find one with better airbags

Hope she gets back quickly and safely ( and the wife too of course).

That'll be the first thing I'll ask her for when she eventually gets back home on this bitterly cold night...

Speaking of 75s, I got a couple of proper work lamps for Christmas and I changed the windscreen washer pump.

Good your better half is home safe.

Did you find out what the problem was?

Burrows recovery bloke, who's apparently owned a couple of Connies thought it was the bottom hose. He currently owns a maxi and a wolsley 2200!
