I'll admit they're decent cars, but come on man!

Now, do you know which key is for which car?

Ha ha yes I must say they're a great all rounder. That's a good point- The Ghia has a ford badge still on it, the other 2 don't but the keys for the 200k lx estate looks a bit more knackered than the st key.

They're meant to have a Ford badge on them...?

That would explain the oval-shaped indent in my key then.

Anyway, the real issue here is the lack of photos of HMC's third Mondeo.

Yes, somebody has probably pinched the Ford emblem to stick on a Zippo lighter to flog on ebay as a "genuine" rare Ford promotional item

I'd lick a 2.5 pez Ghia X hatchback any day of the week

Fixed to reflect what I own right now. :D

I've just remembered how little I like Ford's green dash ambience. I felt genuinely queasy the first time I saw a Jag X-Type interior at night, perhaps because I was expecting the same cigar-smoke-infested-gentlemans'-club hue of the Rover 75.

As you are clearly a Mondeo perv you can have this photo of my old '55 Ghia 2.0TDCi (130) hatch...

Agreed,I really don't enjoy the dials on these. They still look smart on the outside though IMO.

What engine is in this one then??

There's a funny badge on the back that says TDCI. No idea.

Yesterday's news, but 18th October 1967 saw the NSU Ro80 introduced at the Earls Court motor show.

50 years on and it still looks fabulous. Here's a brown one with steel wheels, just like the (rustier) one I once had.

I had a TDCi Ghia Mondeo when they weren't shite i.e. 3 years old in 2007 and cost me £5k. I really liked it for the most part, although a 2.0 pez would've been better I reckon. LX interiors looked grim so it had to be a Ghia.

^^^ Did you live in Brookside Close? ^^

I live 300 yards from that close and one of my buddys lives in one of the houses, they are now rented out

I know that I keep warbling on about Rover 75's increasing in value (in the hope that they will) but a search on eBay yesterday appears to hold out some hope. Values do appear to be heading slightly* North.

Hope springs eternal etc.

Having driven the MG ZT from Scotland to it's winter home in my mothers garage (180 miles) in dreadful rain today I can really vouch for 'em. My mum (aged 82) accompanied me and said that it the most comfortable car she has ever been in.

Praise indeed.

I've had three Mk3 Mondeo TDCis.  I like them to drive, but all three have had issues to the extent that I probably wouldn't have another.

Mine was 7 years old when I bought it (2012) and I paid £2k plus a Rover 45! Depreciation because Ford and because billions of them were about by that time.
