The escort would need some kind of multiple funnel arrangement to accumulate exhaust gasses from all the leaks.

A dose of Metro or Panda on full choke would have worked but I couldnt be harrised dragging either out of where they are parked.

This evening the F has been on mole-killing duty.

Wait, what

Yeah....

There is a bastard of a mole chewing up the garden and I havent been able to kill it any other way....traps, a thing that fires blank cartridges etc etc....this wee cunt just laughs at them all.

Well, this evening he got a good dose of partially unburnt hydrocarbons and hopefully thats choked the bastard.

Apparently a few minutes down each hole does the job.

When I picked up the F, there was a box of bits in the boot including a de-cat pipe which I fitted straight away because I am mildly retarded and wanted extra broombroom noise. This helps mole killing by making the fumes doubly toxic, I would imagine.

The anti freeze will have killed the mole - not the hc or co.

Op com arrived for vectra today.

When I install it I expect a pair of V's to appear on the screen.

This is the first 'proper' car to ever give me the horn.

I mean. Fuck. Just look at it.

attachicon.gifIMG_-kloyam.jpg

It was piloted by a naturally beautiful lady in her 60s. Spotted at Toddington Services.

Similar two door continental outside work for hours today while they faffed about - I think taking photos, but am not sure as they had an odd sort of battery pack, lead and cone thing laying on the ground as they shifted the car about. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera with me. British racing green, cream leather with green piping and rear spats. Probably worth every penny of £500k!

Company logo on the guy's jacket seemed to say Denver Classic Cars, but I can't find their website.

A 2cver friend who had moved to honiton got rid of the moles with scrap cloth wrapped around sticks swapped with creosote in the holes. Drove them down the land to the field next door. Apparently they don't come back in number but if they do a repeat treatment quickly moves them on. Doesn't kill them either.

I have finally pulled my finger out and ordered my new car! Dacia Stepway coming soon.  It seems that my only vehicle that doesn't really comply with this site is the 2cv that I originally joined it with!

Current fleet : 1985 Citroen 2cv6 Special

                       2002 Renault Clio

                       2010 Peugeot Vclic (moped)

Coming soon - 2017 Dacia Sandero Stepway Laureate!

Isn't the laureate the top specced model?

Shirley shum mistache if 2cv isn't AS?

U is doin AS rong m8 (imho)

Also wouldn't having a 2017 dacia and a 2002 reno clio equate to the same thing?

I think that the Stepway is basically the same as my Clio. That is why I liked it! While this may be hard to believe, nothing serious has gone wrong in 14 years, so why wouldn't I want an updated version?

As for the 2cv, yes to me it will always be shite, but the days of students and the poor driving a 2cv have long gone. These are now classic and appreciating in value. I will never get rich off mine, or probably break even, but it is currently the most valuable vehicle on fleet!  My Clio is superior to my 2cv in practically every way - comfort, economy, reliability, it is 18 years younger etc - but it is worth a lot less.

Went to Nelson to pick up my latest Omega breaker , nice manual 2.5 V6 estate in blue, quite surprised by the condition and it goes like hot shit off a shovel with a sexy V6 growl on the 60 mile journey. I think I'm having second thoughts on breaking it as it's got MOT for a couple of months and is really too good , nice old bloke threw in loads of bit's including the original alloys.

Since I took le merde for its MOT in August I literally haven't seen my mate who I own it with despite him living about 2 miles away. It had seized calipers and I parked it up outside I put the handbrake on as I assumed we'd be working on it within a few days.

Sadly we didn't and now he's moving house so I went round there last night with a spare battery, gave him the keys, drank some of his vino collapso and agreed that he is going to find a garage to mend it and I'll just give him half of the cost.

If he can move it.

Do not do this.

Reb, Lancias are for Winnahs;)

*disclaimer - this a fucking stupid idea, even I'm not daft enough to have one!

Seriously tho JUST SAY NO!

When I decided to upgrade from a mk3 to a mk4 (the newest shape) panda, I found it a step too far for me.  I has a brand new 2wd, then a nearly new 4x4 and although the 4x4 was a great improvement I couldn't get on with it.  Some of the character and charm of the mk3 has been lost in the better comfort/room/speed that made me actually trade in the mk4 for a mk3.  I'm much more at home in a car which is just the right side of wrong for me as a big man in a little car!

It's going the same way with 4x4 mk2 pandas now, prices are going up and good examples are starting to get pricey, folks are trying to turn a profit instead of keeping the cars going and enjoying them.  I doubt I'll be able to afford another mk2 4x4 as a thing to off road and enjoy, they are pretty awful as a daily with the cart sprung rear axle compared to the 2wd so I just wouldn't buy one with the intention not to off road it!

I've always liked the clio ever since I had a one as a courtesy car though I'll admit to it being a little on the low side for a lump like me.

I'll just have to have a go of his, I think it's an HF, or certainly a replica at least.

All of the fun with none* of the rust.

Technically speaking, the rust is still there, it's just not my rust and that's the most important part.

My new professionally mounted handsfree kit. Let's see if this lasts more than 5 minutes. Tell you what, getting blutac to stick to car plastic isn't easy.

Prime Suspect 1973 last night at 9pm on STV / ITV had some period autoshite, a real tidy Mk3 Cortina 2 door GXL included. Was first of a 6 part series set, surprisingly, in 1973. Not quite Life On Mars but worth a look next Thursday.

Local Practika (B&Q) threw up a couple of "beauties" today

They are a fairly common sight but I don't usually get pics as I'm driving.

And then I spotted something different for sale......

Can you tell what it is yet?

Edit...soz about the sideways pics,my phone has had an update and I can't seem to switch it back....

I've just discovered from the following threads that my Citroen C4 VTS isn't a "Modern" any more!

What moderns do you like / guilty pleasures?

New forum for moderns

What modern do you own/drive?

Consequently I is disappoint.
