Lucky talisman innit. Like taking an umbrella on a walk and not a spot of rain.

Durex in your wallet and dying a virgin.

What about a switch and some wiring so you can actually operate the brake lights? ;)

In the bag!

Surely, something like this requires the owner to be puffing on a briar pipe !

Mobile 'phone with plenty of battery life... necessary for calling the breakdown service if you need to do so, otherwise for posting collection status updates for the rest of us...

Looks a lovely car! All the best with bringing it home.

ONG no updates!!!!!

9/16, 1/2 and 7/16 spanners are all you need apart from the silver foil you get in fag packets (possibly).

Just spotted! No pasties on the list. Doomed to failure.

There seems to be some widespread misconception that this is a hopeless pile of scrap.

Well, it is not.

It's fully functional as a car and merely needs some odds and ends sorting to be really good. It has hitherto not failed once to get to a destination, in fact, it drives very well.

The heater fan currently doesn't work, but once the car is in motion, there is sufficient airflow to demist the windows after a while since the heater works.

I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to the end of the world and a 200+ mile trip is probably the best thing happening to it in a long time.

It shouldn't be pushed on the motorway though and I wouldn't have done so even when it was new. I bet the car will be transformed once this trip is over.

AKA Sod's Law.You don't pack any tools, and it'll go horribly wrong with a tiny problem that could be sorted with basic tools.ORYou pack a heap of tools, and it all goes swimmingly.

Or you apck a heap of tools and you always ned the one you forgot.

Wrong. This scenario follows Old British Car's Law.

You pack a heap of tools and the one thing you need will be the one thing that you won't have.

Should have read in before i replied doh

Good luck. Sure it will be fine. When i collected the Reliant my tool kit was a demister pad for the window, some haribo and water in an old milk carton. I broke down at Thirsk and got recovered all the way home. Milk carton of water emptied into the rear foot well. Must have been some milk still in it and the car stank for weeks.

Not what I was thinking. I'm more thinking that Mr 320 has got himself an absolute bargain here. I am most envious.
