interesting that its LHD, bet doing over takes is fun!

guess it makes sense tho if its mostly going to be deployed abroad

but I wonder if they made any RHD versions?

(did you manage to figure out the whole road registering it stuff?)

I admire you for thinking the Foden is capable of overtaking.

Parked vehicles - Yes

Moving vehicles - No

Now that I have a company I should be able to register it for business use and get an exemption for operating a wide vehicle.

Most were for BAOR or other glamorous assignments where they drive on the wrong side of the road even when not shooting at you.

Such a thing does not exist. All the HGVs on our roads still have to comply with all the various regulations including Construction & Use; simply being "for business use" doesn't mean you don't have to comply with the rules.

Where there is a will there is a way. I won't be buying it until I am confident I will be able to use it. I only sat in it today but next time I am down I will take it for a drive and see how I feel about it.

the one thing I am genuinely curious about is,

is buying this beast for transporting the stolly cheaper then say just disconnecting the prop shafts on the stolly and just driving it overland to where ever it is ya need to go?

im just thinking I cant imagine its all that much more fuel efficient etc then the stolly and given the up front cost, if there was any difference ii imagine it would take a fair while to pay off

so I am wondering if it would be better plowing the money that you would spend on the Foden into getting the Stolly in tip top shape instead? :)

and it means one less vehicle to worry about etc and you dont have to worry about the legality aspect of things  :)

(as a side note whats the official model name/number what have you for said foden?)

or is getting this foden to transport the stolly more a creature comforts thing rather then saving fuel sort of thing?

Yes it would be interesting to see how "economical" a 2 wheel drive Stolly is, I might have to experiment there......

It's a creature comforts and business thing. A Stolly does 40MPH at VMAX, it also has a manual transmission, the Foden is automatic. The Foden will earn money from experience days etc.

I could see a YouTube channel of 'Made in a Stolly' actually having a bit of a following!

I'm not sure that Foden would be a sensible purchase.

However, if you're looking at thoroughly un-sensible purchases, how about a Sherp? https://sherpatvsales.com/

Now that really will go anywhere...

What a difference the lack of an "a" makes.

I don't understand why I would buy one of those over a Stolly?
