So do I, it’s a lovely old tool and I’ve always had a hankering to own one even though I’ve never actually driven one! I hope HMC thinks of me when he wants to sell it in a few weeks time!

Been pottering about in it. The steering on this it much lighter than the others ive had, despite it having the heavier 6 up front. Maybe its still on cross plys?

Its also so far leak free which is a bonus on the edge of Dartmoor, where fog and drizzle are not unknown!

Looks good with the bumper off - more 'gas turbine'.

The whine of that gas-turbine is just superb.

Ive been in touch with a fellow shiter about something 70s/80s. We chatted about it a few years ago but looks like its now happening.

Not a very good clue but- thinking about the thread i recently started. It could have featured in the june 1992 autotrader in the cars under £1000

Hoping its the Kitten, Duster, Lada or Yugo but suspect it isnt

 GSA perhaps?

Got to be a DIESEL BEAST OF A JEEP.

Mk1 Cavalier seems like the most appealing, yet also slightly shite option

Here is the exact car with my fake june 1992 autotrader dealer ad, the ad price is at 1992 levels for authenticity.

That's giving me a semi.

Will it be in Tavi by next week? I'm seeing Mum on Tuesday.

Now I can't help but think about buying another car.

I feel like someone that is affordable, on the road and 1950s or early 60s but which has seatbelt mountings.

Maybe a P4 🤔

will move from pie to cream tea on its own?

Getting it transported. I love a good road trip but too much jeopardy for me these days 😂

But to be honest it having not been used for some years its the sensible thing.

Fleet news-

1. Rover P4

IMG_7068.jpeg.82da5ced26a55dbec38720a81f1ff79c.jpeg

This has been a really nice thing to potter about in. Very usable and I love the whine of the unsynchro’d first and the smoothness and quietness of the engine. A forum stalwart is the new owner- ill let them do the reveal as and when.

2. Citroen GS @jonathan_dyane

This should arrive tomorrow and just needs a bit of a HMC go over/ recommission before it becomes the latest tourist attraction in tavistock.

3. Lada Samara

Im the new custodian of the ex @2110 Samara- it should be back here during the week and off to a tame welder.

4. VW caravelle

Solid and reliable. Also everyone else with a t4 waves at me (!)

@HMC is deserving of some kind of medal for services to shite.

He also rather graciously hasn't mentioned that the GS decided to commemorate leaving me my bursting a hydraulic pipe liberally covering the road outside my neighbours house and the man's nice lorry.

Despite attention of sand followed by detergent the tarmac outside the neighbours still looks heavily soiled...

Im blown away by the colour, suits it perfectly in the vivid ‘70s shade (orange?)
