My 3B deadlocks so the only way in with a dead battery is via the boot, and then working out how the funk to release the seat backs to crawl though the car and pop the bonnet. Interior handles are also deadlocked with no power. It's certainly secure... I really like that red estate, a pre-facelift one like this is about the only thing I'd consider replacing my saloon with. Interested! As for boost tailing off, mine does similar, it can sometimes be the actuator staying fully open and the ECU getting upset at too much boost apparently - I should get mine fixed at that lovely TDI torque is a lot of fun HMC and mk2_craig 2

83C Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Pretty damn good value I’d say. Want to swap for a C5? No? Fair enough…
gadgetgricey Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 I'd be most worried re the scratch marks on the hazard switch. Seems to have been used quite a lot Looks lovely though. Seats look really good. barefoot 1

Yoss Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 Was hoping for more velour being an old Vauxhall, but that'll do.
Cookiesouwest Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Very well bought Sir. Enjoy it for the average two weeks. Should roffle well
sierraman Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 That on the arch isn’t anything a bit of P38 and an aerosol couldn’t solve. theshadow 1
mat_the_cat Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 I see you already have roof bars, but would some GENUINE Vauxhall ones be of any interest?
HMC Posted June 30, 2023 Author Posted June 30, 2023 Got a bucket list car on the way, with a terrible image problem IMO. Clues? it wasnt owned by jimmy saville, and its built by Karmann Dyslexic Viking, Marm Toastsmith, dome and 3 others 6

But no cigar. Clue- its the sort of car Kerry Katona would have bought with the first (modest) royalties from her first successes.
davehedgehog31 Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 A Renault Megane cabriolet? Can I read to you from Top Gear magazine? HMC 1
NorthernMonkey Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Got to be an Escort cabby? Actually, scratch that. A bit of Googling reveals they were also responsible for those bloody horrible Micra coupe convertible efforts. That’s where my money lies* *not literally. If it is one of those, you’re on your own when it comes to flogging it on next week. My standards are remarkably low but even so. 2flags, EspenO and catsinthewelder 3

That Omega was the last “ work” car I owned that didn’t have aircon also the last with a petrol engine. Simpler times and I still earned good money with it.
