Nice, another 940 in the ranks!

Pretty sure I spotted the advert for this one where the seller said that he'd bought it for a friend some years ago, described it as "Filthy" and also said things like "Don't bother coming back moaning after you've bought it"? Deepest apologies if I have this wrong...

No that’s the car. No nonsense ad! Could have said the clutch bites near the top of its travel (but doesn’t slip) but overall I’m pleased.

Knew I recognised it.

The LPT 2.3 is a great engine, loads of torque low down, a great comfy cruiser with plenty of grunt. I swear mine sometimes feels like driving a turbo diesel but without the racket.

Can these mg expresses be driven on car insurance or do you need van insurance on them?

I've had both types on mine.

Thanks I have been looking for an express van for a long time. My intention was to buy a trophy blue 160 express. I really have to think about this. Thanks again

The Mg van had the cam belt done 2 years/ 15k  ago and the aux belt and a new windscreen in the last couple of months. It had been a daily driver for the last 2 years with no FTPs.

I'm struggling to think of any business that would see a van that size as a great Investment.

Which explains the rarity.

It would be great to know what sort of businesses parted with cash.

Edited to say I like it.

For a while you could get Bini vans which sold for the same reason.

Oh stop it!!! I actually really like that wee thing but I have absolutely no use for it and it probably couldn't be any further from me if I tried....

FFS, why do things like this turn up when you're no spare cash, no space on the drive, or even worse, no good reason to nip down to your place in Torbay....

Meanwhile, I’ve got a collection lined up tomorrow. 90s, German and cheap. It’s also fairly practical as my I’m going to chuck my bicycle in as it provides the connection to and from the station. Assuming the train doesn’t run out of electricity.

Is the Volvo 4 sells then?

I’m a bit nervous about lack of electricity to the train too... got to pick up a certain Mercedes van I left in London...

Stage 1- oversleep, drive part of the first leg to catch up and meet my rain connection with the last bit on bike. Think the former owner of my Volvo chose it purely to have the most glass to sticker up
