WE HAVE BEEN OFFERED THIS BEAUTIFUL 1974 VAUXHALL MAGNUM BY A CUSTOMER OF OURS AS PART OF THE GOVERNMENTS "SCRAPPAGE SCHEME" AND IT'S FAR TOO NICE AND UNUSUAL TO CRUSH SO WE NEED TO FIND AN ENTHUSIAST TO TAKE THIS ON

Yahoo maybe there is hope!

BUT IF IT DOES NOT MEET THE RESERVE IT WILL HAVE TO BE SCRAPPED AS PER THE GOVERNMENTS DELIGHTFUL SCHEME.

That triumph wagon looks a little crunchy round the sills, but still very appealing. Imagine one of those with a 2.5 BMW diesel in, GR8 4 EVERYTHING! (SHOPPING, A-FRAMING, DRIFTING, WELDING, LOOKING AT)

Hey, the old 2000 engine is great as it is. I remember my dad whizzing around in his, then towing a caravan up to scotland and back. Never was the same after that. front suspension arm snapped. :(

^^^ Torsten's got a new eBay ID?

I had to check that then!, He's one is a Y plate although it's the same model.

That Triumph nearly caused WW3 in the Pandamonium house. lol! At least it'd be big enough to live in, with that Mazda to store my stuff in. On a more serious note, if someone were to buy my Avenger within the next 20hrs or so, I'd be all over that! :lol: Here's hoping!

Please note this vehicle has been off the road since 1991 and has been kept in a garage as I have just not had the time to complete what I wanted to do and then met my missus

The advert somehow manages to fill 7 or 8 lines, yet tells you absolutley NOTHING about the condition of the car. Brilliant! :roll::roll:

Even though I'm someone who doesn't get excited by old Jap Tat, this;

Is almost enough to get me polishing the ol' pump-action yoghurt rifle.

Superb. I could have that home and only drive it 20 miles...

This is ace, had totally forgotten about them.

However, the bidding history looks a bit suspect?

That looks like a BMC engine in that Atlas. Did they get a different engine after Leyland bought out Standard Triumph? I always though they had the 948cc Triumph motor in them. Either way it must be agonisingly slow.

Might be a B series diesel. Sure I read recently the Atlas vans got them as the diesel option.Edt: Scratch that - I think I can see plug leads.

until you need to change the spark plugs that is!!! :wink::wink: are these not the ones where removal of head is required to change a spark plug?

Their not too bad to do, You just need a good spark plug socket (with a rubber insert, and a Magnet on a stick.
