It's on missus' account, she owes me! Amazingly I've only just bunged it on! Really don't want to sell this but for some reason it keeps attracting local shits

What a charming selection the Accord, Subaru and Skyline hatchback make. I’d love any, or indeed all, of them. Accord would probably be the nicest to drive however.I had a good look at the Skyline last year, the chap has been trying to sell it for ages. It’s a fascinating car, but with 4-pot L20B engine (a bit old by that time) and 3-speed auto it wouldn’t be particularly inspiring to drive, which is why I bought my 2.4 Laurel instead. If I could afford to spend reasonable money on more than one old car I’d have it, but current circumstances dictate otherwise.

Strangely those Accord MK2s are meant to have few mechanical differences from the MK1, despite looking substantially different. I bet they drive just like my old hatch - if so they're brilliant, really responsive handling and a revvy engine.

Pog, change your name to Julie or pretend your birthday's in July for added prestige!

Rubbish pic's don't help sell this odd, interesting 626 GT estate, a mere £300 with no T&T.

This one-owner Bluebird estate would have been cheaper than my new Primera, though can't see it having gone down well elswhere in the SL household.

I think you're right about the similarities, think there was more change when the 2nd-gen model got facelifted. I agree with your summary, was very impressed with the ones I had.

REQUESTING A SHITE-BIDDERS AMNESTY!

I asked Mrs_Pog if I could have a dabble on this, and the answer was yes (on the basis of beigeness, tax-exemption & zebra print seat covers). Quality, I am well excited. [/img]

I've seen that car! It may even be in my spotted thread somewhere. Think I left an A/S card on it too! Photos look pretty comprehensive but if you want me to go and have a poke about I can probably fit it in :D

Edited to add photo!

Here's a Rover I could get my groove on for... though would this be powered by some kind of 'OM NOM NOM HEADGASKET' engine?

No, the turbocharged T-series was more of an "OM NOM NOM GEARBOX" engine.
And also "OM NOM NOM CV JOINTS AND OM NOM NOM DRIVESHAFTS" engine

Actually, they do enjoy the odd nibble of a head gasket too - though I imagine the thrash/maintain ratio is not that favourable...

£2500 like, so not cheap, but given the choice between this and one of those hateful 'Zafira' things (or similar high-ceilinged, tiny-booted devices)....

Wish this had been on a couple of weeks ago actually, as I'd have been badgering 'Er Indoors
