Whilst recently purchased, I'm having a bit of a revision on number of cars both nice and Chod due to time constraints of permanently working away for the week 130 miles away. Its a bit unfair on Mrs 95quid.

So up for grabs is the mighty Rover 825 Sterling Badermatic in giffer silver.

1996. R Reg 67k miles

Mechanically spot bollock on. oil change this weekend.

Interior spotless, grey leather and tree wood unmarked.

Just put 4x New tyres on as others were 17 years old.

Tasty MOT history if you wish to check. R781DVG

I did express concern on the extended collection thread, ref a bit of a worrying noise from front O/S wheel area following the short trip to Brodders East Anglian beer up. However concerns over, twas simply wheel nuts needed nipping up, i think previous owner a bit lacking in the grunt dept. All silky smooth and silent again.

I'm happy to let it go for exactly what I've spent on it

Car 06/2017.........435

4x Brand new death ring tyres today (3/7/17)....104

Fitting on tyres .....5

So for the grand sum of 544 quids it's yours. FREE TRILBY INCLUDED WITH SALE

Collection Suffolk weekends, or Newark weekdays.post-20451-0-57089200-1499084524_thumb.jpg

That is lovely. I'm turning into a bit of a Rover fan in my old age!

If I hadn't just bought one... etc..etc

Eh? I never knew you had a Sterling? Thankfully I can't afford it now so I'm out. Good luck with sale though, they are hugely lovely cars.

Also, hate to be that guy, but it's showing as untaxed, I'd SORN it if you want to avoid a fine!

Bumping this up in the hope a shitter buys it and it stays on here; it is very nice.

Cheers Brodders. I'm surprised it hasn't been taken on here at shitters price.

Would've suited you Eddy. Nice waftage. I wish I could buy it but I've got one (as in a KV6 powered Sterling) already and running it would be another question.

Posted

Oh yeah. I'll message someone on the Rover 800 forum and see if they can stick it up there for you but I fear you might get the same response there as here.

Posted

Would have suited me, most likely, except: silver. :(

So I went and bought a blue one.

Posted

Would it be worth sticking a new MoT on it?

If i can get back to Suffuck before MOT places shut I'll have a go  that's problem of continued working away and a salvo of shite

At 544 quids its still a good worth a punt for any prospective buyer

This has been here a month now, which is puzzling.  The only explanation I can think of, which isn't terribly satisfactory, is that I simply forgot about it before I went after the one I did buy.  So it's all my fault.  Sorry.

Sent a link to a mate and he replied thus:

"Yes I am jealous, [of my Omega] and I would love a Rover 800. That is worth every penny. But there's more chance of you buying it than me. These days I am only allowed to buy things like paint. And sealant. And sometimes, as a treat, carpet."

Well, I tried.

I have just bought an Omega! I said if he was jealous of my Omega he should buy your Rover!

How has this not sold yet? It's a real beauty!

If it was in the same continent as me, it would be in my driveway faster you could say giffer.
