Discussion on another thread about Steve McQueen and the Bullitt chase scene nicely coincided with a recent BBC radio podcast where the excellent Clive James points out that it's not the best scene in the fillum: I was reminded of the Puma advert where they patched in scenes of McQueen in a Puma going around the same streets etc..

The fact that it still works is amazing:  this advert was first shown 20 years ago...and I still think it's cool as fuck.
