Fat Willys is an actual shop in Newquay. They still sell the stickers.

Dr Zog's Sex Wax was the other surf inspired sticker

Only thing I will admit to was a dayglo splat covering up a primer painted patch

Does anyone remember those suction cup wavy hands from the 70's?

My 528i from the late '90s.Limo tints all round,3-spokes,& lowered springs  :-) .It had a smaller steering wheel & one of those Knight Rider sensors on the dash that made it look like I had an expensive alarm. There were a pair of Cibie Oscars at the front,& an M badge on the boot  :-D

Nice try attempting to distract us with a German repmobile and see if we miss the rather more awesome cat riding a motorbike next to it!

Stick on bullet holes....neon washer jets....Dtm mirrors....the stick on guy who dropped his trousers and mooned when you squeezed a rubber ball....

Yep,been there,done that....

Remember the double-wiper blade fad? You could get an adaptor so instead of one measly wiper blade per arm, you could have TWO! For absolutely no advantage whatsoever as far as I could see.

My neighbour had this setup. He quickly found that the added resistance of the motor trying to drag 4 blades down a dry screen drew too much current and repeatedly popped the fuse. The obvious solution was a higher rated fuse, which eventually led to the splines stripping on one of the spindles.

forgot about castle perfomance, used to live near the owner, his wife was well fit,and she had a white sapphire cosworth

Ahh so your a staffs shiter? My nan lived in Chesterton so she was smack bang in between turbosystems and castle performance, so even from around 5 years old the cars caught my eye when I saw them around

I have a Fat Willys polo shirt somewhere, it gets used every so often.

The big thing in Australia at the time was frangipani stickers

TSW made a lot of absolutely rancid and wheels tbh!

I had a set of the very few Inoffensive and half decent ones they made, 17" TSW Pace.

I do; they were called Wonky Wavers!    I think they came with slogans on them, but can't remember if they were to do with football teams, radio stations or seaside resorts.  It'll be one of other of those, I bet.

The pair of pink plastic hands slammed in the bootlid with just the fingers poking out from inside.

Single wiper conversions that parked upright like a touring car

There were two approaches to this. A proper conversion which swept the whole screen, and parked in the middle, or the home-brew special - take the driver's wiper off and move the passenger one to the middle...

Posted

Why would you want a wiper that parked in the centre of the screen, I imagine that would be incredibly distracting.

Corsa C with a massive aerial on the roof, think longer than the ones on the dodgems at a fairground, wtf?

Stuck in the middle wipers are very much "current" round here. Perhaps the trend has finally reached NW Wales.

Had a 'Eddy the Duck' window stick on.

Loved to the 'Pioneer/AIWA/Kenwood' rear window stickers. Used to see the ////AIWA back window flash on quite a lot of Belgian boy-racer cars as well as repositioning the rear number plate to the bottom of the bumper.

Pioneer/Kenwood were also found on 90s flight jackets of which I am a proud owner of.

I think my sister had a Garfield on her mark 3 Escort. At the end of the 1990s I had a South Park 'Kenny' on the window of my mark 4 Escort.

I also had a 'Pioneer' rear window sticker.

Seen a lot of cars lately driven by 'yoofs', invariably a 9 year old VAG, with the number plate on the dash in the window. Presumably this is to whip out the way when you are going through a red light.
