Saw this over on FB.  324k not out is a good score.

There is a lovely guy over on PH called R129SL.  He is such a lovely man; he 'found' my 190 for me - and supplied many parts gratis and much advice over the years.  He has a w201, w210 (e430) and the w124 which is pictured below.

That picture was taken last week.  It's now tinkering around 370k and has had more lives than the proverbial cat.  You can read the whole thread here.

Liked purely on the basis of seeing a Polo SDI Estate.  The Polo estates are rare, the SDIs are hen's teeth...

My Xsara van is just about to clock 277k this weekend. The hdi diesel has a tappet rattle at tick over but runs perfectly and doesn't use any oil. If the tappets weren't bucket and shim I'd do them. I am considering changing the injectors for a lower mileage set if they are compatible. The fuel consumption on a run is always low 40's and I'm sure it should be better than that considering the bx will do 60mpg on a run. I felt sorry for abusing it so yesterday it got clean right out and is looking nice again now. mot due in may so it will get a full service by myself in April.

Assuming this is a 2.0 8v HDi, then yes, injectors are interchangeable and not coded.  Being a 2004 model it should already have the later "076" injectors fitted.

Fuel economy certainly sounds poor on yours - whilst it's hard to compare driving styles, to give you some idea, my 306 HDi (very similar to a Xsara under the skin) with over 200k on the clock routinely does 55mpg+ on a run, yet I struggle to get more than mid-high 40's from an XUDT driven in the same manner.

Yes its a 8 valve. Its a pretty light vehicle so should do more i think. Will have to check my spares engine and see what injectors are in that. Also got an EGR valve delete plate to fit when it gets warmer. I need to get my daily bx repaired so I can service this one

My 190D has just passed 236000 miles on the clock. My 3.2 Omega has 178000 on the clock. Both should be capable of doing the same again imo, if looked after .

635 225k ......

Mine was on 205k when I sold it in 2014.

Current diesel Borat is touching 140k; CX still on 79k.

You dodged a bullet then because another 10k may have seen terminal brake system failure and then it would be dead for 6 months and in 100 pieces... Just like mine is now!

How the hell did they not top themselves before going that far?

Can't drive too fast with all the flange throwing themselves at you.

My 2006 grand voyager will clock over 178k tomorrow on the way back from work. I have put 38k on it in the last 4 years. My 2008 megane, which I bought new has just clocked 140k. 2nd cam belt bought and will be fitted when it is a bit warmer.

Now nearly 163k.  Been a busy year...

Please excuse the shoddy pic I had to get my mate to lean over and take it on the way to work the other day

I feel like my Mk6 Golf is approaching high mileage club territory now. 2009 car and will tick on to 150k today.

Things are less positive here atm. My Avensis is on 225,660 but we’ve sprung a leak somewhere. More later this week when I get to poke around.

Not so much high miles in the grand scheme of things, but surely high miles in that it's lasted this long...

My 75 is about to tick over to 176k, will most likely do that again I reckon, I have heard many stories of the 2.0 CDTI being fairly robust and getting to 300k+

In the same way as 1 dog year is equivalent to 7 human years, I reckon that 120k Laguna miles must equate to at least twice that in anything else...

Van has been all over the country recently for my summer holidays, rolled over to this on the way to work this morning. Still love it, the old plodder :)

Did the chap selling that Maestro clock-plate do clock design professionally?
