That dash is class, loving the red. I have however seen cleaner fields.

Tbh if I saw that for sale on Gumtree I'd have reported it as an offensive advert...

This entire thread is fucking comedy gold, and the car is utterly rancid.

Great work Cav!

Is the dashboard orange from the factory, or has a previous owner coloured it in?

Naaah, Ford did a "1970s Vauxhall" on that shape Fiesta and there were a few different interior plastic colours. Red is quite rare, because it's a bit...... striking. I think there was a dark blue too which was better.

It's carried through to the Mk67 or whatever we're on now, still get red and blue but they're joined by Autoshite Brown.

There's quite a market still for spares on these, a place near me strips them, goes through loads of em.

This reminds me of my farmer mate's L200, which had grass and weeds growing in the footwell and baby cow ectoplasm all over the back seats.

From the inside photo I can't tell where the interior starts and the outside finishes.

You'll need a a plough to get through the mud well before you reach the dirt.

Well bought!

I can smell that thing from here. More pics of the Raleigh Chainsaw speshul please.

Spend a day or two cleaning it up and it'll look good, the interior doesn't look too trashed as does the body, looks to be a decent colour as well.

It's standard from the factory. Colour is Tango Metallic on that Fiesta and this was the only colour that had a colour-coded dash.

Actually thinking on it, some had blue dashboards, especially the ST's / Zetec S.

Thats the kind of car that a few days cleaning would transform and add £100's to the price. I'm using a 2004 1.4TDCi at the moment and although it's a bit noisy for 29k car it does drive well.

If you were an utter bastard, you could take it to one of those Polski car washes and get a full valet for about £40.

They would probably tell you to poke it.

Source: Have been turned away from a couple of Kosovan Kar Kleaner places for a too-dirty car.

20 minutes with someone elses vacuum cleaner would make a world of difference to that. Even better with a rented wetvac.

wouldnt be soo hard to have the carpet out and jet wash it , they come up a treat then hang it up to dry while you scrub the rest

The plan is to just basically not do anything to it at all, and just punt it on 'as is'.

It'd be very therapeutic and quite enjoyable cleaning it (I'm sad like that) but it'd be easier to just (try and) find a home for it.

How little sheckels are you wanting and is it a 1.25, I'd only want it for parts ( not insidey ones )

Posted

It's a 1250, or whatver they are. Will be too rich for you for parts I reckon, soz. I'm after £300, had a few sniffs but nothing concrete just yet.

Posted

Erm, f*ck knows, sorry. About 115,000 I think, will check at weekend and update if wanted. Soz for not knowing off hand.

No probs, too many for me to be arsed with it - should sell quickly at that money though even though it's minging
