For Sales - Citroen C15 Van

I'm pretty sure the French sold them with a bench seat in the back. So maybe do-able.

The proper rear seat C15s had rear foot-wells in the floor pan.

Just cut a couple of holes then and the rear passengers can help up the hills.

When I worked in a paper shop in 1989-1991 we had one of these on a c or d plate iirc? I was doing late deliveries that had phoned to complain once on a slightly wet Saturday afternoon and the driver of said van just sat outside the house revving it to the limiter, as soon as I got in he dumped the clutch full out and proceeded to wheel spin it some distance.

It took a complete hammering from day one until I left and never gave any bother.

Great vans!!!!

Were these actively manufactured for as long as it looks like they were (seen 55 plate ones!) or were a boat load left in a field somewhere?

I went over the Hardknott pass in mine today.

It made it without too much trouble.

Is that a personal plate, thought it was on a G plate

Sadly I could only offer swappage for a Mk3 Golf with very long MOT.

That was about when he entered in it in a CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE and finished 4th!

Anybody Interested before I brave eBay?

I would love to have tried a 1868cc but sadly no room for any more.

Right to the end, they made them in Portugal a-la 2CV and then Spain.

Someone requested an interior pic - so here it is!

I really really want this for some reason.

Thankfully, I cant afford it. Looks fucking amazing though.

The voices in my head are telling me it's your turn for the autoshite-bike-whore- rover 220sli and we need to swap key's, I tried telling them no but they are really insistent. :-P

I borrowed one for a while from a fellow shiter, (sorry, your name eludes me right now) It was freakin awesome. Slow, but once you got used to it you get it motoring along lovely. Handled oddly, but in a quaint way, absolutely bags of character. A+++++ WOULD USE AGAIN.

EDIT- it was Six Cylinder!

I would love another C15, but either the BX or the CJ would have to go & that would be one difficult decision too many just now.

A lot of interest. Wouldn't it surely raffle at £5? I'd take a ticket.

Does anyone fancy driving this to Devon for me? (Assuming its still for sale and then bought by me)

I am so pleased that you are showing an interest in this C15, I would hate for such a good van to leave the fold. I would love to help with delivery but the logistics are a bit difficult to arrange, do you have a cunning plan? If you get yourself to somewhere close to Buckingham I will be pleased to give you a lift to Wisbech, I could put you up if you want to slit the journey.

Save me, it seems my computer displaying the sale of this van when I woke it up was no accident by Mrs 6C!

Hmmm, tempted, seeing as Escort wants more than I have time to do to it.

Arrgh.

How far....just off to check google maps

I might* be able to assist with collection, as long as it doesn't have to be done for a couple of weeks

Hi all

I can be flexible on collection as its parked off road and will be Sorn on Tuesday. Didn't really want to get into swaps to be fair (though I would love to try a 220 at sometime)

Would much rather sell it through here than mess about with eBay time wasters etc

I'd love this but it's getting the time to get there to collect it.

Id def buy some raffle tickets for this......

This is raffle fodder gold of the highest order, distance etc becomes less of an issue when you can bag it for a fiver, i'd be on it like a tramp on a bag of chips ,having done one recently it's not hard work really and a decent laugh along the way !

Having done a number of miles in these as we used them for the motor factors i worked for and having seen them clock over 150k miles in 3 years with little more than servicing and driveshafts (and being crashed a lot) i can concour them to being a great van. The bodywork build quality is questionable but the mechanics are really something else.

Handling is interesting with lots of body roll and the arse end can slide out when doing 60 over a humpback bridge with a 205ltr drum of anti freeze in the back....
